ALESSANDRO'S POV

That night.

It was cloudy, I remember the cold air hitting my face at my sudden turn. She was here, really close. I don't know why or how, I just knew it was her, it has to be. No one was able to do all of this except for her. Noticing her presence wasn't a failure, she knew what she's doing, like she always does. She did all of this, to show me, she was the cause of it. I don't why, and for what reason. All that matters, she allowed me, chose me, to know she was here. I don't talk enough about how this woman amazes me. I'm always busy, frustrated, tired of how I can't get close to her. I will say this now and until the day I die. She's unconditionally marvelous. No matter the amount of people after her, the pressure, the loneliness, she managed to get back up. She's a person you sit down and take a second to look at, to admire. The way she stands still on her own is so mighty. I know how it is. I lived a lonely life, but now, I am surrounded with people who support me, friends, family, even my men. All of these people standing by my side, making all of us stronger. That's the beauty of a mafia, as much as it's ruthless, scary, there is beauty in it. And I am proud and thankful to be a part of it, even if for a couple of years. That will be enough, having the chance to experience, grow into this world was a blessing. A lot of people wished for a normal life, I never did. Why would I wish for a normal life, while having all of this. It's a tough life, but you get out of it strong, able to protect the ones you love and care about. It shows you what loyalty is, what trust is and betrayal.

My thoughts went back to Venom. I let out a defeated sigh before deciding to just turn back around, if she wants to show herself, she will. My eyes travelled around the neighborhood, placing my hands on the parapet wall. It was pleasing, all the lights were off. The moon was shining next to a couple of stars, again this cold air, man I love this weather. I heard footsteps. I don't know why, but I felt myself smiling. The footsteps kept getting closer, making my heart relax, feeling my gaze soften, letting the sound of the wind fill in my ears, allowing my smile to grow. And that's when I felt someone's presence.

I didn't look, it would be risking everything, so I stood where I was. Watching the streets, the trees crashing into each other due to the force of the wind and for a moment I felt numb. It didn't matter who I was or where I stood. As if I was no one, as if I wasn't here, it felt great.

Thirty minutes passed, she was still standing by my side. No movement, no words, the only thing making me sure she was here was her breathing and her irresistible scent. Fuck it. It was time to let go of all the worries, all the hesitation and let my mind live in peace for once. I turned my body toward her side. As I turned, every second started to get blurry. As if both of our worlds are coming together, colliding. Becoming one as the rest of it die. And there was the first time I laid my eyes on her up close. She had a black hoodie, covering her hair and most of her face, leaving her side profile uncovered. I kept my eyes on her, feeling my lips curl up in a soft smile, like an idiot, but I was right, it was her.

My gaze never left her figure, for god knows how long, yet long enough to make her catch my own eyes. I watched her slowly turning her head toward me, making the hoodie fall from the top of her head. She looked at me with those hazel eyes, they were perfect. The light brown held a lot of passion, emotions, power while the green held a lightning that could kill you by it's struck. It's like she gave orders, directions and destinations only with her eyes.

I let my eyes travel down her face, searching for more, not given enough. I couldn't see much of her hair, there were a couple strands falling on her face along with curled baby hair on top of her forehead, adorable. My eyes caught her pink full lips. They suit her so damn well, all of her is angelic.
