ALESSANDRO'S POV

I got in my car, thinking about what Adriano had to discuss. Every time I got in my car, thoughts took the best of me. I always drowned into them, it didn't bother me though. In the end of the day I let it happen. Despite what I just said, this time my mind was blank on my way there, music filled my ears and my heart felt peaceful. The only thing missing was rain, it didn't happen often. The weather was most likely sunny, how unlucky I am. The rain always made me relax, it was my comfort weather. It still is, it will always be.

My mind randomly drifted to a daydream, my lips slightly curved upwards by the thought of laying down while feeling every single drop of the rain hit my skin. Thunderstorms sound filling my ears, and the sight of it makes my eyes shine. Words can't describe how much I crave that desire, filling my heart.

I realized I had arrived at Adriano's house as soon as I snapped out of my thoughts. I parked my car in the garage that he had ordered to open for me, making  my way in. His wife was the first to catch my sight. I greeted her. She was beautiful, has long dark brown/almost black straight hair with style curtain bangs, blue almond shaped eyes and full lips. His house wasn't bad after all, it had a front yard and backyard along with a pool. Inside there was a crystal chandelier that reflected the ground from sunlight. They had many extra rooms for guests, each one perfectly designed.

They never wanted a child. Although, he told me that years ago he had rescued a child in his house, it wasn't theirs. It was a random nine years old girl they found and took in, gave her a safe and warm home, with secured safety. He said everything was going well until one day, she left. I never met this girl, me and Adriano weren't even in touch at that time. He tried to find her but she was nowhere to be found. It was mysterious, cause how could a nine years old just leave, she barely knows how to dress herself. I never gave much thought into it, it's been five years, she's probably dead or something. They didn't get attached to her that much. As I said, they didn't want children.

"Follow me" Adriano's wife said with a welcoming smile and led me to Adriano's office. We walked up the stairs, remembering when Adriano invited me over years ago before he built this house. To take my opinion on a couple things, it's when we started getting closer. We would see each other at family gatherings and everyone would tell us to hang out since we're almost the same age, but I don't know, we just never did.

We reached Adriano's office, I knocked on his door, twisted the knob and got in. I took a seat in front of his desk, his office wasn't something big. He enjoyed normal sized rooms, unlike me, I liked extra extra space.

There wasn't much of a conversation, we talked about business and how's life. Then Adriano told me about the man we got information from Dimitri the other night "I got his location" yeah me too, let's get to work" was all I said before we rushed outside.

Me and Adriano never really worked with each other, he doesn't help with my business neither do I. We held respect for each other, until one day I received a call from him. He was getting shot along with his wife. I know how much she meant to him, he could handle it. Adriano is talented in so many ways, yet, he needed backup for her. Of course I rushed out the door, dropping everything to help. At the end he's still my cousin, he is family.

On our way out, I spotted a cat in his house, supposedly his pet. I looked back at Adriano, almost laughing "We got him when we moved in together. Since we both didn't want kids, a cat would do perfect". It was a black cat with a hint of yellow eyes. Black cats always have been hated and less adopted due to stupid sayings such as 'it brings bad luck'. They're innocent animals, they're as pure as colorful ones.
