18. Is the world ending?

Hope's pov

"You know I never thought that I'd see them again. I mean yes, they have hurt me in ways that I never thought was possible but no matter what I'll always love them. They are my family. And as family we stick together as one-"

"Always and forever." I finish him.

" And I am so mad that you never told me about all those stuff happening with that mud thingy, I thought I was your favourite uncle." He scolds me.

" Oh come on uncle kol. If I had told you anything, you would've left everything and came there to help me and I didn't wanted that." I reply him.

" And may I ask why not." He says

" Because you deserve happiness! After everything that happened I uh I just wanted you to be happy and loved and I don't know? not be a burden on anyone, anymore." I say sadly.

He sighs and come towards me placing both his hands on my shoulder making me look up at him.

" You darling, are my niece and you have no idea how devastated I would be if one day I just find out that you are gone and I wasn't there to help you or protect you." He then sighs

"Look no matter what happens I love you and so does your aunt and we would be happy to lend you a hand in defeating whatever problems you have." He says with glistening eyes.

" And I promise you that this time we will defeat it together. And we will not lose our family." I say with tears.

"We won't." As he hugs me, both of us have tears in our eyes.

"What on earth is happening?" Bekah asks as she comes dragging a temporary dead Damon behind her.

"My god! Kol are you crying? Never have I ever thought that I'd see a day where kol would cry." She says.

" Well not everyday you get to see you dead siblings after so long and not everyday day you get told that your niece was in danger and she didn't tell any of us." He replies with a smirk.

Bekah, who was putting chains on Damon drops the chains in shock at what he said.

"Wha-what are you saying?" She asks.

" I don't know Bekah. One moment I went to bed the next I'm here, in past, with my dead siblings and you know what's more shocking that I'm seeing my dear niece with them at a time where she wasn't even have been born." He replied

" Oh my god ! You are from the future." She exclaimed

Both me and kol chuckles at that. Kol goes and gives her a hug at which she gets even more shocked but then relaxes in the hug.

"Please tell me this is common in future." She says still hugging him.

" What is?" He asks confused as he pulls away.

" This! Us hugging each other with love and all" she asks looking at him and then at me in question.

At which we laugh and kol hugs her again.

" Not that common but not that scarce too. Besides I'm hugging you because it's been a long time since I saw you." He replied.

" Why where was I? " She asks.

" You were home. I was traveling the world." He replies with smile.

Bekah was going to asks something else as Elijah comes and was left speechless at the scene.

" Is the world ending?" He asks

We all laugh at that as kol pulls away from Bekah and goes towards him.

"No, it isn't. It's just I realised that today could've been the last day for everyone one of us and that just didn't sit right with me." He says as he goes and hugs him.

Which shocks Elijah more than it should have and look for Bekah as if he was asking if it was really happening. Bekah just smiles at him and he returns his hug.

"I think Elijah is right, the world is indeed ending as I can see kol is showing affection for his siblings." Dad says as he comes down from his art room.

"Call it what you want Nik. I don't care." Kol replies and goes to hug him as well which dad return after a moment of hesitation.

Dad goes to say something but the timer in Oven goes off.

"Yes it's ready!" I exclaimed

"What is ready?" Elijah asks as kol laughs and goes to Oven to take it out.

"Kol's special chocolate muffins that I love!" I exclaimed as I went to take one of them but kol swats my hand.

"Let them cool down then you can have them." He says as I pout at him to which he chuckles.

"Since when do you bake?" Dad asks

"Since I found it that I can bake quite good and that dear hope like my baking." Kol replies

"Well if they are that good then let's try them." Bekah says

"Yes! Please can I have them now!" I plead him with my puppy eyes

"Look away from her puppy eyes kol they are quite destructive." Dad warns him playfully.

At which kol looks at him and then at me as we both burst into laughter thinking that it's his eyes he was afraid of falling for.

"I am quite aware of that Nik! Why do you think I started making those muffins in the first place. As for them go ahead take them out and have some they must have cool down enough." Kol says

As I run towards the fridge to get them out. I have them and instantly melts at their taste. Just as I remembered them.
The rest of them also take one of them and eat it.

"Hmmm they are the best thing I ever had!" Bekah gushes

"Yes they are quite good brother!" Elijah complements.

"That's it! You are making them at least once a day." Dad orders as he have another one.

We all laugh at that. I look around and I realised how happy all of us were. Just a few more people to complete our family. Me and uncle kol gives each other a look as if to promise each other that we'll never let anything happen to this.

Damon choose that time to wake up with a gasp. Chained and looking around to see us making his eyes wide.

"Damon would you like a muffin?" Bekah asks sweetly as she stabs him with a knife.

At which we all sigh.

"Well Bekah have fun with whatever you are doing. Me and hope have to do some stuff." Kol says as he drags me out with him and I take more of the muffins to eat them on the way.

"Hey! Leave some for Lizzie too!" Kol scolds me at which I just left one muffin for her.

"Oh come on! She'll live!" I whine at him.
