'Sup. I got my braces now.

(Your Name) -

"Sarvente!" I call after the birthday girl after leaving the greenhouse. I duck and dodge past everyone until I reached her.

"(Your Name)? What's the matter?" she asks, putting down one of (Girlfriend)'s smaller speakers.

"I tried looking for Ruv. He isn't anywhere in the hidden home. I checked the greenhouse. He wasn't there either," I explain, slightly panicking.

"Oh, dear..." Sarvente then puts her hand to her chin. "Have you checked Sun Hill? Sometimes he goes there to clear his mind."

I freeze. Then, mentally facepalm. How in the world did I forget about that hill?

"Thanks," I nod. I then run out to the backyard where the greenhouse was and went through the gate to the open land. I look up the at the hill.

There he was.

Sitting by himself, facing the sun. He looked so peaceful, I didn't want to bother. But I didn't listen to myself.

I slowly walk up the hill to where he was. His eye was closed and his legs were crisscrossed. I'm not sure what he's doing. Maybe meditating Russian style.

I carefully sit next to him, trying not to disturb this peaceful moment. But I miserably fail. "Hey." I tap his shoulder.

He then opens his eye, looking back at me. He didn't look angry, surprisingly.

"Sorry to break your peace, but I was looking for you. You almost scared me. I thought you were kidnapped or ran away or something," I chuckle sadly.

"Well, it would be hard to run away from here." Ruv relaxes his shoulders. "I can't leave even if I wanted to."

"How come?" I ask.

"It's personal," he says firmly. "Besides, this is the only place I call home."

"Well then," I sigh. "Why're you on Sun Hill then?"

"It's calm up here. I just wanna be away from the racket that all those guests are making," he says, shaking his head.

"C'mon! Don't be such an introvert," I laugh, lightly punching his shoulder. "Go and talk to people in there."

"No thanks," he grumbles. "I'd rather stay here."

"Dude, seriously," I roll my eyes. "Why not? Can't we make a deal or something?"

"Depends on the deal," Ruv replies.

"I'll stay with you for a bit here, and then afterward, you go and talk to the other guests, okay?" I offer.

"Why do you want to stay here with me?" he asks, raising a brow.

"I dunno. Maybe to help you practice talking to others," I shrug. "Usually when you chat with another person, it... doesn't always end well."

Ruv didn't respond, fidgeting with one of his hat's ear flaps.

"Let's say I was a different person. What would you say to me?" I test him, straightening my posture.

Ruv looked away, not talking, as usual.

"You really are shy, aren't you?" I raise a brow at him.

"It's hard to talk to someone without a conversation starter," he blushes, embarrassed.

"Fine. I'll give you a topic, if that makes you feel better," I mumble. I then say in my best stranger accent, "Hey, there, tall dude! How are ya? Liking the party so far?"
