Summer came fast, and with the passing of Clan Leader Lian Gen, Clan Leader Yuan Qi now held the role of checking on the divine tree. Arriving to the Peach Palace, he made his way to the tree. And upon setting his sight on it, he, like every other individual, could feel just how intimidating it's presence was.

Walking around it, his hands touched the trunk and once he made a full circle, he stopped to take notes. Where he wrote this down, was the same notebook that the late Lian Clan Leader had used. Flipping to the previous pages, he read them as he compared it to the recent ones he had written. His eyes seemed to narrow with each pages as if he were taking a second look, checking that what he was reading was right.

Eyes shifting away from the notebook and to the tree, Clan Leader Yuan Qi walked around it again, inspecting it. Once he realized that what he had just read was not a lie, a deep breath filled him as he exhaled. He couldn't believe it.

"Could it be possible....?"

As Crown Prince Xin Hua waited for Crown Princess Lian Yu in her chambers of the Peach Palace, he sat at the couch as he admired the pressed plum blossoms that still held their beauty in the resin. However, despite this he still couldn't help but to look towards the peach blossoms that were also frozen in time as well. Taking it into his hands, he then wondered if she had gotten the blossoms from the divine tree.

Putting it back where it was, the royal stood from his seat and wandered the room. He simply looked at her displayed items she possessed and passing by her desk that had a mirror and her cosmetics, he came to it. His hand on the desk, he couldn't help but to think why she would have eyebrow products when she never exactly wore any since her brows were naturally full. If anything, she never really wore make up. The only make up she ever wore was just a light shade of rogue on her lips and a thin layer of face powder to special occasions when needed.

Leaving her desk, he continued looking around the room. Then, he stopped when the part of the floorboard he walked on squeaked. A brow raising, Xin Hua lifted his foot before pressing on it again to confirm what he had just heard. Coming to his knees, he now pushed down on it with his hand and seeing it slightly lift, he came back up to stand.

"I'll have to turn in a request for repair."

It was also as he stood, that Lian Yu entered. Eyes coming to her, he saw that her hair was still wet from her bath.

"Sorry, did you wait long?" she asked as she dried her hair.

Xin Hua shook his head, "No," he came to her. "Do you want me to do it for you?" He offered to dry it for her instead.

"If you don't mind." A short laugh, she went to sit in front of her mirror as he followed. And turning to the man she handed him the towel.

Taking it, Lian Yu faced forward. As he dried her hair, the woman simply watched him like she were admiring another from afar. The look she held was endearing; although she wasn't exactly aware of it.

"Would you also like to brush my hair?" she asked.

His hands on her long, partially dried hair, he looked at her reflection as he took the brush. "Certainly," he actually quite enjoyed this. He used to always brush his sister, the second princess, Xin Lan's hair often as a child. Since young, he saw her deep brown hair that held an undertone of red to be the most beautiful despite having the same tone as well. However, he would still say that hers was different from his.

But Lian Yu's, was a jet black and he loved the way it felt whenever he ran his fingers through it. It was like silk kissing your hands.

"Your hair," he spoke.
