It was now night time. Pope, Kie, JJ and I had gone in the HMS to find John B. We drove to Tannyhill, the Cameron's house.

"What now? We just go up to the front door and ask, 'hey, have you seen John B?'" JJ asked.

"Look, he lived at Tannyhill now. It's plausible. Look we can play dumb" Kie said.

"Play dumb?" I questioned.

"It's pretty late" Pope added.

"Look, I've never seen John B like that. We should honestly be going to the cops" Kie said.

"The cops- yeah and say what? We're worried about our friend because he's on a rampage because Ward Cameron killed Big John?" JJ asked.

"Like, they're not gonna believe us!" Kie shouted.

"Hey, I see Ward" Pope said.

We focused our attention on him.

"Doesn't look dead to me. Let's go home" I said.

"Wait" Kie said.

"What" I groaned.

"Uh.. okay. Obviously, Mr. Cameron is fine, and even if John B was here, he isn't now, okay?" Pope reasoned.

I held my hand out to Pope like he was staring the obvious.

"Plus, I have the biggest, most important moment of my life in six hours" Pope added.

"Yeah, well, our friend is in trouble" Kie said.

"I'm in trouble. Guys, I haven't been home in three days. My dads probably put all my shit on the street by now" Pope said.

"Okay, so that's it?" Kie asked.

"In a time of need, you're just gonna bail? You're just gonna walk away?" Kie shouted.

"Okay, guys, can we not do this right now?" I tried to calm the situation.

"Hey, I have a scholarship interview in the morning. I can't-"

"-Well what about John B?" Kie interrupted Pope.

"Why is it always about John B?" Pope asked.

"It's not always about John B. You're so stupid. It would be any of you in this situation" Kie spoke.

"Oh, bullshit!" Pope yelled.

"Guys!" I tried to shut them up.

"This is about friendship!" Kie shouted.

"Bring it down" JJ tried to shush them.

"Look, this is about Pogues for life!" Said Kie.

"What about forensic pathology, huh?" Pope asked.
