A few days later, it was Clark's first day on the job. He woke up feeling extremely nervous wondering if he'll be good enough working at a place like that but he quickly brushed off his self-doubt and got ready for the day. He got out of bed, took a shower, brushed his teeth, got dressed, and made some breakfast. He made sure to leave some for Ruby in the refrigerator before he left. He goes back into the bedroom to write a good morning note and place it on Ruby's nightstand. He kisses her forehead.

"I'll see you later Ruby." He whispered and he leaves the apartment.

While he waits for the elevator in the hallway, Xavier had walked out of his apartment.

"Hey, Clark!" Xavier said.

"Morning Xavier!" Clark said.

"Where are you headed to this early?" Xavier asked.

"To my job. It's my first day." Clark said.

"Oh well, congratulations! Where do you work at?" Xavier asked.

"Interfire Entertainment," Clark said.

"No way! The gaming company? I love their video games! That's awesome Clark!" Xavier said.

"Thank you! I'm a bit nervous though." Clark said.

"I'm sure you're gonna do great!" Xavier said.

The elevator dings along with the doors sliding open and Clark and Xavier get in.

"I don't know man. I mean it's such a popular company and I just wanna mess things up. What if I don't become like Walter Tate? He's my idol and knowing that he works there and owns the damn company just makes me even more scared." Clark said.

"Well I can only say this, whatever you want to achieve in the company, I'm sure you'll be great. And I know you say Walter is your idol but you should focus on being yourself. Not Walter. Don't be a clone." Xavier said.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Ruby's been saying the same thing too that I shouldn't worry too much and that everything will be fine." Clark said.

The elevator reaches the lobby and they walk out of the building.

"So how is the fiancée?" Xavier asked with a smirk and playfully nudges him with his elbow.

Clark blushes at the word "fiancée" and smiles thinking about the night of the proposal.

"She's doing good. Great actually. She's been having the time of her life working at Moonshine and I've heard her say how much she wants to own it one day." Clark said.

"And you know what? I know she will! Just like one day, you'll own Interfire. Or maybe you'll have your own gaming company." Xavier said.

"That'll be the ultimate dream. Next to marrying Ruby of course." Clark said with a laugh.

"Well, I'm sure everything will be fine. Just take one step at a time and you'll be there." Xavier said.

"I'll remember that. Thanks." Clark said.

"No problem. I'll see you around." Xavier said.
