3x1 The Birthday

"Wake up," a voice whispers into Kalani's ear as she groans. "No," she says pulling the covers over her head. "But it's your birthday," the voice says as Kalani pulls the blanket off her before opening her eyes to see Adelaide looking at her. "You know we're not dating right? You don't have to do anything for my birthday," she says yawning.

"I know but you only turn eighteen once," Adelaide explains. "That's how all birthdays work and im dead so technically I can't turn eighteen," Kalani says sitting up.

"Just get dressed so we can go out and have a good time. Isn't that your motto? Always have a good time," Adelaide says as Kalani nods before getting out of bed. "Just give me a second to shower," she says as Adelaide gets up. "I'll keep you company," she says as Kalani laughs before they walk into the bathroom.
