When Our Paths crossed..

One At a Time!

"Shivani! can you share me this dance practise video??" Kani asked.

Ashwin's eyes met hers for a moment. "Sure.." she agreed reluctantly and looked at him. Both of them were lost in a different world for a moment. She quickly moved her gaze from him to Rakshan.

"Anna!! Is everybody in office aware of mama's health??" 

"The entire world knows now Shivani. News has already been flashed. Thanks to someone" Rakshan declared glaring at Ashwin.

"Andha video ku Ashwin ennada pannuvaru ?? Calm down" Pavi tried to reason with him.

"Enough Pavi! You knew what happened at Goa. News vandha appo kooda rendu perum onna than irundhanga ! Only God knows if anyone was stalking there. Ellam yen thappu than ! Ivana nambi irukka koodadhu! I should have dropped her in the cottage myself. Avala kandukama vituttu..un kooda paduka..." Rakshan stopped mid-sentence realizing what he was about to say.

"Dei! "Ashwin warned him.

Pavi glared at Rakshan. For the first time, tears rolled down her eyes. She least expected him to comment about their physical intimacy infront of so many people. Was he accusing her of seducing him to sleep with her? Or was he implying that she distracted him from safeguarding his angel sisters?

"Pavi...sorry!" Rakshan was about to speak!

"Pesadha! Just because I slept with you doesn't mean you've got the right to take me for granted. I am done with you" She took her bag and was about to leave when Shivani stopped her.

"Please Pavi. I apologise on his behalf. Please stay!" Shivani insisted.

"Sorry Shivani!" Pavi quickly hugged Shivani and left the home. Her self-respect mattered more than anything else at that moment.

Ashwin knew it wasn't the right time to talk to Shivani. He could see that, she needed some time. But how long?? He didn't know.  Right now he had important things to take care. He personally requested Kani to handle things on priority. With so many media person trying to call him and his acquaintance for any small news, he was pressurized to core.

When Ashwin tried to meet his father in the hospital, his father clearly denied meeting him.. It broke his heart that even after so many years, his father wasn't willing to meet him. What wrong did he do? Was trying to achieve his dream, such a big mistake? He suddenly doubted. Still he chose to wait outside the wardroom, so that he could be of some use. That night, a video from a fan page stating facts on Ashwin's innocence created havoc. 

Details that Shivani mentioned were clearly incorporated. And along with that, Kani managed to get a small interview with few people, who gave extra credits to Ashwin boosting his image. What fascinated Ashwin was the byte from the apartment watchman.

"Ashwin sir pathi theriyadhu! Aana andha ponnu Shivani..Thangam sir.. Avala thappa pesura yarum nalla ve irukka matanga" the old man had mentioned. 

Ashwin had always noticed that the watchman smile at Shivani before she leaves for office. But the impact that she had created on that old man was stunning. He took turns with SAM and visited hospital day and night. That was when, the doctor finally called them.

3 days later, Rakshan's Home, Coimbatore

Rakshan was standing in the balcony taking puff in privacy. Smoking was something that he had quit long back. All credits to his girlfriend for that. Pavi can stand anything but smoking. She was not a typical girlfriend that you find in daily soaps who was looking for a teetotaller. Rather she preferred a partner in crime and Rakshan turned out to be a perfect partner.
