I struggled and thrashed as I was carried into the lab. I couldn't get my small jaws around the handler. He pinned me to a metal table, one holed hand on my chest, another on my foreskull to keep my head down. Another pinned my arms, strapping them down. Then my legs. Finally I was released, but they'd strapped down that too. I struggled despite this and all the threats but one left. I growled at the creature with a cracked face, but it paid me no mind. My instincts told me that was a good thing, but I still kept vigilant. He was still a threat to me and proved it when he approached with seeming malicious intent. I started struggling again, more desperate than before.  A red substance was injected in my soul. I screamed.

Little by little I started to think again. Remember. I wasn't being controlled by instinct so much as I was being controlled by rationality. It was still there, the urges, the instincts, but they were less. That's why dad was still giving me determination. I wasn't safe yet. "how's pap?" I asked worried. "He is well, the question is how are you? The instincts gone yet?" I shook my head. "still whispering. still there." Dad frowned. "How unfortunate. I truly hope we can get rid of that soon." He held out a phalange, slowly bringing it closer. I knew it was a test to see how long I could last until instinct took over. It was building up, the need to bite. The need to hurt. I pushed it down. I wouldn't bite him, he was my dad. I.. won't.. hurt.. him.. I... can't... I.... I snapped at him, the male creature pulled away quickly, putting distance between him and myself.

I was hurting again after another determination shot. His dad was in the other room doing something. The whispers were still there, unfortunately. At least they were a bit quieter. "Sans, how would you like to return to your brother?" Dad came in suddenly. I perked, then became uneasy. "but the whispers are still there.."
"Not with these. These should subdue any remaining whispers and make you look normal." He held out chains.. "is it the only way..?"
"Until your treatment is finished, yes. That may take years though." I reached out to touch the cool metal. "put them on me."

I walked out of the lab, readjusting the 'cuffs' as dad called them. He was right, the whispers were gone. I could go be with Papyrus! I ran, hoping to catch the boat, but it was already gone. My tail, which had been wagging excitedly, drooped onto the scorching ground, not that I could feel it, being a skeleton and all. Now I had to walk. I whimpered and started my trek through the Underground. It didn't take long for me to run into people. "Um.. Toriel, you look lovely today.." A male goat with a cape and crown looked nervous and unsure. The female goat giggled. "Why thank you." I took a step back, unsure of how to interact with others. It HAS been awhile. Before I could retreat though, I was spotted. "Who's that?" The male muttered. "Hey, are you lost mister?" The female asked, clearly worried. "u-uh.." I squirmed under their gazes. "i'm going to snowdin. to, uh, see my brother.." I hoped they'd leave me alone now. "Oh, well we are going in the same direction. Mind if we tag along?" I suppressed a groan but let them come with anyway. Might as well.

On numerous occasions one or the other would try to start a conversation with me. I wasn't really sure how to respond  so I often didn't. The uncomfortable silence was broken when a lizard appeared. "A-asgore! Toriel! Are you going to see Undyne?" Sans nearly cringed. Another one? "Why yes. We were hoping everyone could come out and play for a while. "W-who's this?" She adjusted her glasses. "He reminds me of my mentor. That's right! Dad had mentioned her a couple times. "dr. alphys, right? i'm sans. sans gaster." She was someone a bit more familiar. A scientist. "D-dr. Gaster's oldest son?" Seemed She knew me too. I nodded. "i'm going to see my brother."
"Um.. let's not keep him waiting then." We made it out of Hotland and to Waterfall. I kept my eyes on the stars. It was so nice. I wish I could see the real stars. A fish came running with a robot and- "papyrus?"
"SANS!" He came to me and we embraced each other. "DAD SAID YOU WERE SICK.."
"i.. was. i'm getting better now."
"THAT'S GOOD! NOW YOU CAN MEET MY NEW FRIENDS!" Great.
