𝐱𝐯𝐢. finding a lost friend

Lyla had already finished all of her classes for the day and she was bored out of her mind.

She was laying down in the common room couch with her head in Sirius' lap.

James was making some of his books float, while Peter was sorting through his chocolate frog cards, and Remus' was reading a muggle book.

"Do you guys wanna sneak out to Hogsmeade later?" Sirius asked.

"Yeah, why not." James said while shrugging.

"It's not like there's anything better to do." Lyla said.

"We just have to watch for Filch." Remus reminded them.

"How are we gonna know where he is though?" Peter asked.

"We won't."

James groaned.

"I wish we had something to tell us where he was at."

"Like something that tracks his movements." Lyla said.

"Yeah."

"But not just his movements." Sirius said.

Remus pondered the thought before asking,

"What do you mean?"

"Like, wouldn't it be cool to have something that tracked where people were at every minute of every day." Sirius said while twirling his wand in his hand.

Lyla looked up at him incredulously.

"AmI the only one that thinks that sounds a bit-"

"Awesome?!" James interrupted.

"I was going to say creepy."

"Look Ly, think about how useful it would be for our pranks?" Sirius said now standing up.

Lyla fell off of him, due to Sirius getting up so suddenly.

"Ow." She said.

"Oh shit my bad." Sirius said.

Lyla rolled her eyes before getting off the floor and sitting down on the arm of Remus' chair.

"Ok, but like we were saying think about much it would help?" James said with a grin.

"They have a point." Peter said with a sigh.

"Okay, let's say we did decide to do it. Where would we even have the locations?" Remus asked them expectingly.

"Yeah, didn't think about that." Sirius said with a frown.

"Well, if it's going to have peoples locations, why not have it on piece of paper?" Peter asked while looking around at each of their faces.

"Like a map?" Lyla asked, a thought forming in her head.

Peter shrugged and said,

"Yeah, like a map."

Remus then turned towards Lyla and they locked eyes, both of them having a recurring memory from first year.

(Flashback to the Marauders' First Year)

Remus sat down at the edge of the window we're Lyla was and groaned.

"What's wrong Remus?" She asked him.

"This school is so fucking huge." He said in annoyance.

"I keep forgetting where my classes are and I get lost."

Lyla laughed, but soon stopped when Remus gave her a look.

"Look, everyone gets lost here durning their first few weeks." Lyla said, trying to help him.
