"The bodies were already buried since they have no families," Rage said.
Kinuha ko ang metal stick ko at tumuhog ng marshmallows mula sa garapon. Matapos noon, umupo ako sa kama at kumain ng isa, hindi pinansin ang sinasabi ni Rage. He was leaning on the door, arms crossed, staring at me.
"You don't care?" he asked. "Pinaubaya na nila sa'yo ang lahat. What will you do?"
I didn't respond and just continued eating my marshmallows. He let out a sigh before I heard his footsteps, arriving in front of me. I can still feel his stare but I don't want to look at him right now.
"Why can't you speak?" he asked. Walang bahid ng pagkainis ang paraan ng pagkakasabi niya no'n. It was a mellow voice.
Tumitig muna ako sa mga marshmallows ko bago siya tiningala. Kahit pa madilim ang buong kwarto ngayon, alam kong tinitingnan niya ang mga mata ko. I expect him to flinch after pointing that out. But he didn't this time. His brows didn't even furrow like how he usually reacts.
"Because I trust your eyes," he answered.

"Now, tell me..." he uttered. "What's bothering you?"

"What else do you want?" I asked. "It's not good to see a man and a woman inside a dark room in the middle of the night."
"Don't get weird ideas, I'm not Void." Napairap siya. "I came here---"
