"No," he said that as if it's obvious. "I came here for Nirvana."
"She's asleep, go home," agad kong sabi.
"I know," he responded and took a grape again.
I just gave him an irritated smile. Alam niya palang tulog, bakit pa siya pumunta?! Everyone's getting on my nerves, damn it! Including that Esparza earlier. I want to tear his arm apart when he held Nirvana like that.
Umayos naman si Nix ng upo at ipinatong ang mga siko sa hita. "She didn't receive a text, right? I tried calling her but she didn't answer me. I thought she was running late."
"Come to think of it, Mr. Dark purposely left Nirvana behind, didn't he?" Waye asked.
"Because it's useless to invite Nirvana," Devis said. "Mr. Dark probably knew that poisons don't work on her. It won't be fun if he let someone who can move freely join the quest. He just gave her a free pass to not ruin the fun, I guess." He shrugged.
"That's convincing," nakangising tugon ni Nix.
"Yeah, I get that, but why are you really here, Nix?" naiinis kong tanong ulit sa kaniya. "Can you just leave? Your face irritates me."
He put his chin on his palm, looking at me with his annoying face. "I'm glad you feel that way."
"No, really," pagsingit naman ni Devis. "Why are you here?"
Instead of answering Devis, Nix turned to Rage who's currently frowning while his arms are crossed. Mukhang may iniisip din. Nang mapansin niya si Nix, agad siyang tumingin sa lalaki at tinaasan ito ng kilay, naghihintay ng sasabihin.
Nix chuckled after that. "Wait, what's with everyone tonight? Why are you all making that face? Did those Mexicans piss you off?" nagbibiro nitong tanong.
Napairap na lang ako at gano'n din si Rage.

"You're right," ani Leon. "Just a while ago, Nirvana captured their interest. Must be because of that."
