Ray doesn't really know why his heart would pound at the thought of her.

It's been happening recently, he always thought about her. Ray gets nervous and startled very easily when she comes into view. When they do homework together, he'd simply stare and do nothing; and as (Y/N) asks what's wrong with him, he would sometimes stutter or ignore her question.

Sometimes, he'd talk to her and tease her to rile her up because she looked cute when she's annoyed. The change of moods were very concerning to Ray, he hated how he feels like he wants to talk to her but don't want to talk to her.

And suddenly, he'd always mind what he'd look like around her. Was he fine? Is there something on his face? Is his hair just cool? Thoughts like those ramble in his head that he wouldn't even notice (Y/N) was already there. He'd always shrug the thoughts off but he couldn't help but think about it again.

He'd close his eyes to stop seeing her, but she always comes into his mind.

It's been a month and a half since he'd known her and all of a sudden he feels like this. The feeling of longing to be with her or be there for her. He denies, saying he doesn't like her at all. But his actions contradict his words and it frustrated him even more.

Right now, he was staring at the tired and asleep (Y/N). He found her sleeping on her homework when he got in the library, not he's here sitting infront of her staring. He could have just taken out his own homework and study, but he could not take his eyes off of her; as much as how cliché that sounds.

Breathing softly in and out, silently slumbering in tranquility. He couldn't help but feel calm staring at her. (Y/N) looked as peaceful as the quiet library.

Ray sighed quietly, tucking her hair strands from covering her face. She looked fragile and relaxed for the first time. She was always observant, the slightest things she watched. She haven't shown herself fully to him yet and he understood why.

A few moments later, her eyes slowly fluttered open and yawned. Ray widened his eyes, frantically looking away from her and opening his book. "I want to sleep more." (Y/N) complained, accidentally banging her forehead on the table. "Ah, that hurt."

"Be careful, stupid." Ray mumbled, subconsciously reaching for her forehead and rubbing it to ease the pain away.

(Y/N) winced at the pain, but then stared at him as he puts his hand away. He realized what he had done, but tries to ignore his nervous heart by staring at her pretending to be unbothered. "What?" He asked.

"Nothing." (Y/N) said, looking away and rubbing on her forehead; ears slightly red.

"You know you've been acting really strange." (Y/N) said, looking at him.

Ray gulped. "How so?" He asked, acting unbothered.

"You're always so fumbly, that's so unlike you." She said. "Are you on drugs?" She joked, faking a gasp.
