"So, Hwayoung, what were you doing before all of this?" Nancy asked.
As soon as I heard my name, I didn't spare no time and looked up, "I... I was an employee from Lee Group." I answered.
Jackson lets out a gasp, "Wait, what? You were an employee there? I was too!" He exclaimed, "But I swear to God, I honestly regretted working there. It was kinda a low class business actually." Everyone started laughing from his statement, and so did I.
"I don't wanna ask this one but... Why did you get fired?" Tzuyu chimed in.
I sighed, placing my spoon down, "Just like my boss said, I was terrible at giving service to people."
Xiumin lets out a chuckle, "So then, you actually made the right choice of signing in to Park Corporation. Dude this company feels like my home and everything is just so perfect here." He whined.
"Yeah right...?! Amazing services, free unlimited food, and a huge cafeteria for employees, and everything is just so high qualified!" Tzuyu fangirled.
Nancy laughed, "Yeah, I know. But really though, you did make the right thing of joining Mr. Park's company, I think that this is the only company that gives the highest salary. Other than about it being international."
"Yeah, and I thank meeting Mina for it." I smiled at her who's eating her food quietly while listening to the others.
Jackson suddenly tapped my shoulder who's beside me, "I once heard from Mina that you're really desperate to get a job, is there a reason behind that? If you don't mind me asking." He scratched the back of his neck.
I slightly smiled and pursed my lips, "My Mother actually has... cancer, stage two. And my brothers still need to finish their studies... So yeah, I really have the work hard." I looked down.
I heard everyone gasp in front of me, "Wait, what? Why didn't you tell us?!" Mina panicked, being surprised.
I looked up at everyone, "I'm less worried now. I saved my job sooo... no worries."
"But how come you didn't knew about this company? I mean, this is... very known." Xiumin asked.
"Maybe because I'm really focused on work and work until I get my salary, I need like... ₩600,000 for my Mother's surgery." I pressed my lips together, thinking what could possibly happen if my Mother undergoes her surgery.
Mina sighed, placing some pats on my shoulder, "Remember that we're here for you Hwayoung, no matter what happens. We can help you get the money, we can even donate for you too."
