chapter twenty two

After hugging for some minutes,we released each other and stood up to get inside as we bump into someone

It was uncle Haroon. Did he heard what we said?did he know about Maya having a crush on him? Oh no he shouldn't

"Oh my God" was all he said as he looked between us with expressionless face

Gosh! He heard it! Where will Maya put her shyness now?

Maya ran past me to the house

"Did you hear what we said?" I asked not wanting him to admit it

"Of course yes" he said with amusement

"Oh no" I face palmed myself

"I heard you guys talking about my food" he said and a huge relief  washed over me

Phew!

"I know I have advanced in cooking. Maya said she's now in love with my food and you were also praising my food both of you wishing for me to cook again and I won't" he said

We actually did said that with Maya. We were praising his food and saying silly things we could offer for his food and Maya crazily said she could offer her heart. I think she's losing her mind already

"Duhhh!who need it" I said rolling my eyes

"We shall see" he laughed and we went inside

As I entered my room,Maya was pacing back and forth with a serious look like a person that is figuring out how to get rid of the atomic bomb that is beneath her room.

"Khair, you are here. I will be going home cos I can't seriously face him again after he saw me blushing so hard and he heard what we discussed" she said freaking out

"Hey calm down. He didn't hear anything only the part that we talked about how good his food is" I told her smiling

"Seriously?" She asked with hope and I nodded. She let's out a heavy sigh and sat on the bed.

I went out of the room to the kitchen and found uncle Haroon already cooking lunch

"Our chef" I greeted him with a cheeky smile and he didn't look at me

"You shall see how I will punish you"he said still focusing on his meal

"Oh pls don't punish me I'm scared" I said sarcastically and he chuckled.

I went back to my room to see Maya watching videos in my phone

"I'm bored" she said with sad face

"You know my house is boring and you came here to spend two days. Your house very much fun than mine cos you have mini arcade,swimming pool,mini cinema and a cool garden. And we don't have any of those except the garden of course and you are expecting my house to be fun" I said shaking my head slowly in disbelief

The prayer was called and we prayed while uncle Haroon went to the mosque. I went to the kitchen to peep at the food he cooked. Immediately I opened the food warmers at the same time,a fresh delicious scent hit me and I closed my eyes inhaling the sweet scent

It was spaghetti and meatballs with stew. The meatballs looked delicious. As I was about to pick one,my hand was hit with a spatula

"Ouch" I yelped in pain

"Don't touch my food. Look at the pots there,you can manage that" uncle Haroon said as he took the foods to the dinning.

I hissed and went back to my room. Not less than a minute, uncle Haroon came to my room to inform us that lunch is ready not before winking wickedly at me

Maya showered again and dress up then we came down. Uncle Haroon arranged the dinning beautifully with everything he prepared. We sat down and within two minutes, my mum came out of her room to join us

I stood up to serve the food but uncle Haroon stopped me "allow me" he said smiling wickedly

Hmm,he's about to do something bad

He served the food on three plates. My mum took hers,Maya took hers also and I wanted to take the last plate and uncle Haroon slapped my hand

"Hey,that's for me" he said and they  started eating the food except uncle Haroon. I opened the food warmers and ulala,there is no food inside. I walked to the kitchen to check if there is remaining food but it was all empty. I really wanted to taste that food because it looks too delicious

I walked back to the dinning angrily with tears already filling my eyes

"Uncle Haroon where is my food?" I asked with cracky voice

"Uhm,I don't know and I don't have" he said smiling.

"Mum,see uncle Haroon" I reported

"Yes I see him" she casually replied

"My food" I said coming close to her

"Wow this food is so delicious" my mum said slowly as she put the food in her mouth

"I want to taste" I said almost collecting her fork

"I will slap you now. Don't disturb me pls" my mum shouted and I went to the last option I have which is Maya

I wanted to collect her fork also but she growl at me very loudly like a hungry monster

"Stay away" she growled further

I started crying because I felt hated this moment. I was about stomping out with cry when my mum shouted

"Where do you think you are going to?come here and sit"

I stomped back to my sit and started crying angrily. Nobody even care about me as I cried in my palms. I cried to my heart content and I think my mum pitied me

"Ok stop crying take and eat" she said and I looked up still crying. she passed me uncle Haroon's plate of food while he was busy videoing me and laughing

I collected the food angrily and immediately started eating it with me still crying that's when uncle Haroon realized that I was eating his food

"Wh..what, my food?give me" he shouted keeping his phone and I started laughing while sniffing and running to my room. The food is actually very delicious and that's how I finish every single bit of that spaghetti

Maya went back to her house later in the evening not before complimenting me and uncle Haroon,and me teasing her about her crush.

Few of my family members have come to my house for my graduation. I really can't wait for the day to appear.
