Chapter 30 [Midnight Comfort]

Tatsumi's P.O.V

I had woken up in the middle of the night right after my attempted execution but i tried to fall back to sleep but that only ended in another nightmare.

Tatsumi:"What? Where am i?"

I looked on and saw something i had seen before, my village...burning.

Tatsumi:"Damnit again with this shit? I already feel bad enough about it, why do i have to be reminded of it every night?"

It was the same nightmare i've been having for almost a month now and it never changed, it's almost like i'm being punished because i didn't die there, at this point i had grown numb to this nightmare since it had played over and over again.

Tatsumi:"Ugh when is it going to end?"

After a couple more minute's i finally woke up and decided to stay up the rest of the night.

Tatsumi:(Well there goes any possibility of sleep tonight, oh well i've been out since my execution so it shouldn't be so bad.):"Huh? Akame what are you doing up at this hour?"

She didn't respond, it was like she was in some self-endused hypnoses she was just staring at herself in the mirror.

Tatsumi:(Is she okay?):"Akame."

She suddenly jumped likely because i probably scared her.

Akame:"Oh, good evening Tatsumi, what are you doing up so late?"

Tatsumi:"I was just about to ask you the same question, well i've been asleep since this afternoon and i couldn't get back to sleep so here i am, what about you?"

Akame:"Well,-

-I've just been thinking...about Kurome, i just feel like it's my fault that she turned out the way she did."

Tatsumi:"Akame, you know deep down it's not your fault the empire brainwashed her and we'll stop at nothing to help her and the rest of thid empire, remember our first fight with them when Suu-San destroyed her danger beast puppet and i bit Wave while in my devil trigger?"

Akame:"Yeah, i'm still trying to figure out why you bit him."

Tatsumi:"Well, with my D.N.A in his blood stream it has given him something called a "Devil Bringer"."

Akame:"Devil Bringer? Like Nero's wing's?"

Tatsumi:"Yes, but right now it's only one of Wave's arm's but every night he sleep's he'll see the truth about this empire's corruption and once he has all the evidence he need's he'll tell the rest of the Yeager's and they'll default to the revolution without a doubt in my mind."

After telling her about that plan she started smiling.

Akame:"Your optimism is really refreshing, wait how i'm i just noticing this about your hair?"

Tatsumi:"Yeah it's a little all over the place, probably from rolling around in my sleep."

Akame:"No not that, look in the mirror."

I did what she had asked and saw what she was talking about, my hair was now completely white just like Hitomi Nero Vergil my dad and Sparda, i guess my [Sin Devil Trigger] awakening likely woke the gene in our family that turn's our hair white.

Tatsumi:"Well now i know i'm my Dante's kid."

I could hear a small giggle come from Akame, which brought a smile to my face.

Tatsumi:"Oh there's another thing i wanted to do."

Akame:"Hm?"

I removed my amulet and put it on Akame.

Akame:"I-I don't understand, why are you giving it to me? Doesn't it mean a lot to you?"

Tatsumi:"It does, that's why i'm giving it to you, the amulet of the nine king's protected me in my time of need and it will do the same for you."

She grabed it and looked at the gem's in the amulet for a moment.

Akame:"Thank you Tatsumi."

I grabed her waist and pulled her closer to me for a kiss before she went back to bed.

After a moment we broke from the kiss and she went back to bed, but i stood up the rest of the night since i couldn't fall asleep...and i was thinking of some joke's to use and maybe get the team to laugh.
