Y/N POV
Techno, Phil, Skeppy, and Punz all head off. Niki, Wilbur, and I stay close. We see everyone run to the prison and we follow.
"What happened?"
"Was there a break out?"
"Where's Sam?"
"Is Dream out?"
"Who did this"
Silence fell as everyone quiets down. Tommy and Tubbo were just running up to us now.
"What happened?" Tommy asks.
The reaction is multiple conversations at once.
Quackity steps up.
"Dream is supposed to be out of the prison already. Why would the prison need to be destroyed?"
"Wait Dream broke out? You didn't tell us!"
The crowd murmurs in agreement.
Quackity turned red.
"He escaped the same day Techno escaped."
"What is going on here?" Sam asks from the back of the crowd.
"THE PRISON WAS JUST FUCKING DESTROYED SAM WHAT DO YOU GOD DAMN THINK!?" Quackity yells. "WHERE WERE YOU!?"
"I was investigating a faction called Snowchester that has been producing nukes. They are a potential threat to the prison and Las Nevadas," Sam explains calmly. " I didn't think anything would happen while I was gone."
"WHO WAS THE LAST ONE TO VISIT THE PRISON!?" Quackity asks, still yelling.
"Y/N was," Sam says against awkwardly. "But I watched her leave. She told me about Snowchester."
"OKAY, EVERYONE IS GOING TO PROVIDE REASONS ON WHERE YOU WERE IN THE LAST HOUR GOT IT?" Quackity is red in the face, furious.
Wilbur speaks up first.
" I was in the L'Manburg crater talking with Niki and Y/N" he says.
"Can you both vouch for that?"
Niki and I nod.
Others give their reasons, Quackity listens, breathing heavily.
Everyone wanders off as there is no more action. Wilbur, Niki, and I leave until it's just Sam and Quackity.
I watch from behind a tree.
"SAM YOU'RE THE WARDEN OF THIS PRISON! WHY CAN YOU NOT STAY HERE AND DO YOUR JOB!?" Quackity yells.
"You expect me to be here all the time? It's hard Quackity, I'm only one man," Sam replies still awestruck at what just happened.
"Then maybe I was wrong to trust you. I can't have incompetent people in my country. I never want to see you face in Las Nevadas ever again."
Ouch, that was mean. Poor Sam. I want to comfort him but I need to stay hidden.
Suddenly Punz and Skeppy coming running over.
"What happened?" they both ask.
"Prison was destroyed," Quackity says in a tired voice. "Where were you two?"
"Out exploring," Punz says.
"We were looking for tridents but no luck," Skeppy adds.
"Did you pass anyone on your journey?" Quackity asks.
"We passed Techno's cabin but all we saw was Techno, Phil, and Ranboo playing in the snow."
"So it's not them or anyone here," Quackity mutters to himself. "Alright you guys can go."
They both leave smiles on their faces.
I watch as they both stop for a bit.
"Playing in the snow?" Punz nudges Skeppy once they're out of earshot.
Sleepy rolls his eyes.
"Shut up, it worked didn't it?"
"Mhm, I guess."
I watch the both run off with a grin.
I guess they believed it so...

"I never want to see you again Sam. You failed." Quackity says and leaves Sam alone.
Sam begins to cry and runs home. Tears fall and he doesn't try to hide it.
My heart hurts. I know I was supposed to use him but I want to follow him and make sure he's alright. I can't right now though.

Midnight
3rd Person Omniscient POV
Techno, Phil, Niki, Ranboo, Punz, Skeppy, Wilbur, and Y/N travel back to Pogtopia to speak with Dream. He sits there in the middle of the room waiting for them. Phil lights a few torches and the glow illuminates Dream's face.
"I was wondering when you'd show up," he says with a smile.
They all laugh and exchange hugs.
"We need to make some things clear," Y/N says.
"Dream used his favor from Techno and now you two are no longer affiliated with each other. They will suspect Techno for helping you break out and establishing this boundary will keep Techno safe from Quackity. Wilbur, you have lost interest breaking Dream out and want to forge your own path. The rest of you can watch from the shadows and not say anything since you're the less likely ones they'll suspect. However, Dream needs to get out of here. He needs to go far away and not show his face here for a while. And I'm coming with you."
"What?" Phil asks.
"I am Philotes but I don't want to put any of you in danger. Dream and I made a deal in the prison that once he is broken out, we'll go off on our own together and help each other," she explains.
Wilbur, Skeppy, and Punz look confused at the code name but the Syndicate understands.
She turns to Dream.
"Ready to leave?"
"Yeah."
"Good luck," says Punz as they leave.
"We'll be gone for a while but if you need us, you'll know how to find us," she says before disappearing into the night with Dream.
