She stop chewing.
"Sorry?"
Her question caught her off guard.
"Are your parents home? I'm sorry we dragged you here. You probably wanted to have dinner with them right?" Mrs Sim said, feeling bad.
Aerin put down her spoon and gave her a small smile.
"Uhh.. Don't worry about it! My parents are overseas. They don't come home often" she said while smiling.
She could feel everyone tensing up. Mrs Sim's expression changed.
"It's been..2 and a half years? Since they last came home?" she said, looking at everyone's sad faces.
She clenched her fists.
'this is why..i hate talking about my parents'
Jake noticed and tapped her hand. She look at him.
His eyes say it all.

'you will be okay'
She smiled at him.
"I'm sorry dear" she apologised. The table became quiet.
"But, i like being alone"

"I can have my own space and privacy"

"I don't feel controlled"
'i wish they were here'
She tried to brighten up the mood.
"I can be like your mother then" she suddenly said and she got taken aback.
"Eh??" she smiled.
"So, call me or text me, if you need my help" She snapped.
"Jake," She called him.
"Nae, eomma?" Jake and the guys sat up straight.
"Get her number and address. Aerin dear, don't worry. I will be here for you" She ordered Jake and reassured her.
"I-i.." she were honestly speechless.
'what is happening'
"Hurry, give me your number and address. Otherwise, she will kill me" Jake said while passing her his phone.
"Huh? Oh. Okay" she took the phone and gave him her number.
"Great! Now eat! All of you" she said and everyone, including Aerin, picked up their spoons to eat.
She suddenly laughed. Everyone looked at her.
"Are you insane?" Heeseung asked and she cleared her throat.
"Sorry, this is so funny" she said while looking down, trying not to laugh.
'i love it here'
The maknaes started laughing too.
"What the heck, are you all crazy too?" Jay moved away.
She chuckled and went back to eat. They all spent the rest of the time laughing and eating.
Suddenly the restaurant door opened. Aerin looked at the entrance and gasped.
'Areum and her friends'
She panicked. They can't see her with a table full of boys.
Areum can snitch to Jeno and god knows what will happen after that.
