Sam only let you cook in the kitchen with him, not anyone else, so when nikki and dominic come back to the house after running a few errands to see you and Sam cooking together, they smiled to each other, knowing that you were that special to him.
They stood and secretly watched as the two of you prepped together, and then worked together as smoothly as a machine. As the veggies and the meat were browning in the large pot, they watched as Sam spun you around and started dancing around with you while still keeping an eye on the food.
Laughter and music filled the kitchen, seeping into the other rooms of the house, making nikki's heart swell. Her son had found the one, and she knew it then and there.
"They remind me of us when we were younger" she said to herself, while snuggling into dom's side. He put an arm around her, and kissed her temple.
"They do, don't they?" they both knew what they were agreeing on, not needing any words to explicitly say it. You and sam were going to get married one day, they were sure of it.
