"I-It was so real. I thought I lost you." I sniffled.

She reached out her hand and placed it on mine, squeezing it tightly before pulling my arm to grab my attention.

"Come here." She spoke.

I sat up and laid down next to her on the bed, nestling my face into the crook of her neck as she ran her fingers through my hair.

"I'm right here, Pete. You're not gonna get rid of me that easily." She laughed a little, as did I.

I let a few silent tears slide down my face as I sank into Y/n's touch. After a few minutes, I pulled away from her and looked into her eyes, using my elbow to prop myself up a little.

Should I kiss her? I want to. But should I? Maybe I should. I think I will. Is it the right time? I should just go for it-

My thoughts were interupted by Y/n gently pressing her lips to mine. I let my eyes flutter closed and kissed back before she pulled away. I opened my eyes just as Y/n did the same.

"You kissed me? Wha-" I stuttered, a smile growing on my face.

"I don't trust very easily, so I don't really have much luck when it comes to getting close to people. You, Ned, MJ, and May, are my only exceptions. So if you break that trust, I will hurt you." She laughed slightly, as did I. "I love you, Peter Parker."

"I love you too, Y/n Y/l/n." I breathed out, my smile growing wider as the words slipped past my lips.

Y/n smiled before leaning in slightly. I met her half way and placed my lips onto hers, resting my hand on her arm as she rested hers on the side of my face. We broke away and I rested my forehead on hers.

"I've been wanting to do that for a little while now." I admitted.

"I know. You're not very good at hiding things." She laughed.

I let out a playful scoff and laid back, tucking my arm underneath the back of my head as I looked up at the ceiling.

"How long 'til I get out of here?" Y/n asked, laying her head on my shoulder.

"About a week." I informed.

She sighed and laced her fingers with mine.

"This hospital is so boring. I hate it here." She complained.

"Me too. There's gotta be something to do here besides sit around and watch crappy hospital TV." I spoke.

"Wanna go for a walk or something?"

"You can't walk right now. You need rest."

"I feel fine." She protested.

"I'm not taking any chances, Y/n. I just had to watch you almost die, I don't want to go through that again." I said.

"Pleeeeeaaase?" She looked up at me with puppy dog eyes.

"Go to sleep, Y/n. I'll talk to the doctor tomorrow and see what we can do." I compromised.

"Thank you!" She exclaimed.

She lifted her head up and kissed my cheek before laying her head back down on my shoulder and wrapping one of her arms around me. She lifted her other arm up and tangled her fingers in the curls of my hair.

I removed my hand from behind my head and wrapped my arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer to me as I placed a kiss on her forehead and she fell asleep in my arms. I rested my chin on the top of her head and sat in silence, waiting for her to wake up in a few hours.

I know that Y/n is okay, but I still don't want to go to sleep. I stared into the dark void of the hospital room and got lost in thought as she slept peacefully in my arms.

Once Y/n gets out of here, I should try to redo our date. Maybe we can just stay in and hang out instead of going out like last time. I'll ask her when she wakes up. What if I buy her flowers and take her to a fancy restaurant? Maybe I can take her to the roof of the apartment and set something up up there? Yeah, I think I'll do that.

I'll set up some lights and some blankets and pillows with some snacks and drinks. I'll take my laptop up there and we can watch something. I'll buy her a bouquet of her favorite flowers and give them to her before we make it up to the roof.

I let my mind wander with date ideas and such, a smile stretching across my face as I got lost in thought.

...

Before I knew it, the sun peeked through the blind covered windows of Y/n's hospital room, snapping me from my train of thought as Y/n started to stir awake. She let out a soft groan and moved slightly in my arms. She took a deep breath and nestled her face into the crook of my neck, letting out the breath and snuggling closer to me.

"Goodmorning." I whispered, kissing her forehead.

"Mmhmm." She hummed against my neck.

"How are you feeling?" I asked for the fiftieth time this week.

"Sore. I think the pain meds wore off." She mumbled.

"Here."

I removed my arm from around her shoulders and reached over to the table beside her bed, grabbing her medicine and taking two pills out of the bottle. Handing them to her along with a bottle of water.

She sat up and took the pills and bottle out of my hand before trying to open the water. She couldn't. She tried again before grunting and she started to get frustrated.

"Let me open it for you. It's going to take a bit to get your strength back." I spoke, taking the water bottle from her hands and twisting the cap off before handing it back to her.

"Show off." She sighed, taking the bottle back and tossing the pills into her mouth, taking a large drink of the water before handing it back to me.

"I'm gonna go talk to the doctor and see if we can get out of this room for a bit." I informed.

She nodded in response as I got up from the bed and made my way over to the door, walking out of the room and down the hallway to find a doctor or nurse.
