I smiled awkwardly before walking into Y/n's room with Y/n, Ned, and MJ following closely behind. We all talked for a while before MJ brought something up that I hadn't told Y/n yet.

"So, Peter, did you get security called on you for punching a doctor yet?" MJ questioned.

"What?" Y/n asked, a confused stare on her face.

"You didn't tell her?" Ned inquired.

"It didn't come up and frankly I forgot about it." I spoke.

"What am I missing?" Y/n asked.

"I may have blew up on your doctor while you were in surgery." I stated sheepishly.

"You what?!" She laughed.

"He was being a complete douchebag so I-I put him in his place."

"Peter Parker yelling at a doctor. I need to see this." She joked.

I rolled my eyes and readjusted my position in the chair I was sitting in.

"You guys wanna go grab something to eat?" Y/n suggested.

"Sure." We all said in unison.

I stood up and opened the door for Y/n to wheel herself out of the room. Ned, MJ, and I followed behind.

After we ate, Ned and MJ ended up leaving and May texted me saying that she would be working late and wouldn't be able to make it in time for visiting hours.

"Peter, if you don't back up I will hit you with my crutch." Y/n threatened.

Y/n just had gotten discharged from the hospital and was free to walk with crutches now, as long as she still took it easy. I had my hand resting an inch away from her back for extra precaution in case she would need me to help.

"Okay, okay. I'll back off." I assured, dropping my hand to my side and grabbing her bag from off the chair.

I strapped her bag onto one of my shoulders and strapped mine onto the other. I opened the door and propped it open before Y/n walked out and I followed. We walked through the main doors of the hospital and we both inhaled a breath of fresh air.

"Free at last!" Y/n exclaimed, drawing the attention of several pedestrians who were passing by.

I let out a laugh and followed her over to May's car which was parked a few feet away from the exit. She got out of the car and ran over to us, pulling us both into a hug and taking our bags off my shoulders. She placed the bags in the trunk of her car before helping me help Y/n into the backseat.

I slid onto the seat next to Y/n and we pulled on both of our seatbelts. May got into the driver's seat and pulled on her seatbelt before starting the car and pulling out of the parking lot to the hospital.

May stopped at a red light and waited for it to turn green before pressing her foot to the gas pedal, the car resuming its journey to the apartment. Once we were passing the intersection, my body tensed up and I pressed my eyes tighly shut, letting taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly.

Memories of the accident flooded through my mind. I could feel my breathing quicken and my heartbeat do the same. Y/n slid closer to me and laced her hand in mine, squeezing it tightly.

"Hey, hey, you're okay." She whispered, stroking her thumb on the back of my hand.

I let out another breath and felt my body relax at Y/n's touch as I slowly opened my eyes. I looked out the window and realized the familiar street in which we lived on. I looked to Y/n and gave her a soft, unconvincing smile.

"Alright, we're back." May announced, stopping the car and taking the keys out of the ignition before getting out of the car and opening Y/n's door.

I removed my hand from Y/n's and got out of my side of the car before heading over to Y/n and helping her out of the car. I grabbed our bags from the trunk and followed Y/n and May up to our apartment.

May unlocked the door and let Y/n and I go in first. Koda came running up and pawed at my legs, barking like crazy. I laughed and smiled widely, kneeling down and scratching behind his ears.

"Hey, buddy! I missed you!" I exclaimed, petting his stomach.

He stuck his tongue out and directed his gaze to Y/n. He jumped up and ran past me, jumping up on Y/n's non-casted leg and pawing at her.

"Hey, Koda!" She smiled, petting him as a smile grew on her face.

"Alright, down, boy." I spoke.

Koda jumped off of Y/n's leg and followed May into the kitchen while Y/n and I made our way into my room.

I tossed our bags onto the bottom bunk of the bed and Y/n flopped down into the chair in front of my desk. I faceplanted onto my bed and stretched my arms out. Well, as best I could with a cast going past my elbow.

I could hear Y/n's laughter from behind me. I lifted my head up slightly and looked towards her.

"What are you laughing at?" I asked.

"You...You look like one of those...those chalk outlines at crime scenes with your cast...and the way your arm is positioned." She laughed, gasping for breath in between words.

I blindly tossed my pillow at her. It completely missed her body by about a foot and a half, knocking a few things off my desk in the process, making them tumble to the ground with a thud. I jumped up and turned my gaze to the fallen items. Y/n was laughing harder now and practically crying of laughter.

"Everything okay in there?" May yelled from the kitchen.

"Yeah!" I shouted back, stifling a laugh. "Why is this so funny to you?"

"I-I...don't know." Y/n responded, gasping for breath again.

I let out the laugh I was holding in and stood up from where I was sitting on the bed, walking over to my desk and picking up the items which were knocked off and the pillow, sitting them in their designated areas. After a few minutes, Y/n calmed down from her laughing fit and we talked for a while.

Y/n stood up from where she was sitting and laid down next to me on the bed, resting her head on my chest and wrapping her arms around my torso. I wrapped my non-casted arm around her shoulders and kissed the top of her head as we sat in a comfortable silence.

"I was thinking..." I started.

Y/n looked up to me in response.

"Do you maybe wanna try for a redo on our date?" I asked.

"Of course!" She exclaimed, a smile on her face.

"Okay, wear something comfortable. I'll set everything up and pick you up around 6pm tonight."

"Sounds like a date."

"Sounds like a date." I smiled brightly.

Y/n leaned up and pressed her lips gently to mine before nestling her head into the crook of my neck and running her fingers through my hair.
