The Party

(Part 2 of 2)

"What, you don't think I don't know about your little situation?" The girl snarled.

"What are you talking about?" Y/n asked.

"You know what I'm talking about. The scarring on your arms, the lying about who you are and what's actually going on in your life. Poor Peter thinks you actually love him. But in reality, you're just using him for the attention."

Y/n's eyes glossed over with a tears and a mix of rage.

Oh shit. I know that look. This isn't gonna end well for that girl.

Without hesitation, Y/n swung at the girl, punching her square in the nose. The girl yelped and stepped back, grabbing her now bleeding and possibly broken nose.

"What the hell?!" She screamed.

"Don't talk about things you clearly know nothing about." Y/n spoke through gritted teeth.

The girl scoffed as Y/n walked away and purposely ran into the girl's shoulder.

"Your girlfriend is a freak." She hissed, looking at me while still holding her nose.

"And you're pathetic." I snarled, running after Y/n.

I heard the music resume playing as I ran upstairs to find Y/n.

"Y/n?" I called, knocking on one of the doors.

I received no answer, so I opened it. Finding two people making out. My eyes widened.

"Sorry!" I muttered and quickly closed the door.

I uncomfortably shivered and continued knocking on doors. I knocked on the last door and got no answer.

"Y/n?" I called. "It's Peter."

I could hear her sniffing on the other side of the door but I got no audible answer.

"I'm coming in." I warned.

I turned the doorknob and pushed the door open slowly before walking in and closing it behind me. Y/n was sitting with her back to the side of the bed, her knees pulled tighly to her chest with her arms wrapped around them and her head resting face down on her knees. I walked over and crouched down in front of her. She didn't look up.

"It's not true, Peter." She sniffed.

"I know." I responded.

"I love you." She looked up, tears staining her face.

"I love you too."

She let go of her knees and lowered them from her chest. She rested her arms on her legs so that her scars were visible. She stared at them, silent tears falling into her lap.

I slipped off my jacket and handed it to her. She looked up to me and I wiped her tears away before planting a kiss on her forehead. She stood up and pulled on the jacket. I stood up and she wrapped her arms around my torso, burying her face into my shirt. I wrapped one of my arms tightly around her waist and the other resting on her shoulders with my hand resting on the back of her head.

Ned and MJ opened the door and walked into the room before closing it behind them.

"You okay?" MJ asked Y/n, who was now looking at them.

She nodded.

Ned and MJ knew about everything now; Y/n's parents, her grandparents, the abuse, the self harm, everything. They took it surprisingly well and did their best to help Y/n when she needed it.

"You guys wanna get out of here? Go hang out somewhere?" Ned asked.

I looked to Y/n for an answer.

"I just wanna go home." She whispered, her voice barely audible.

Ned and MJ nodded, showing they understood.

Y/n unwrapped her arms from around me but quickly reached one of her hands down and laced her fingers in mine. I gave her hand a gentle squeeze as we all walked out of the room and down the hall. We walked through the crowd of people, drawing the attention of most of them. We didn't speak a word as we walked out of the front door and back down to my car.

I opened Y/n's door for her and she got in the car. I made my way over to my side and got in as well, starting the car and starting the drive back to our apartment. We arrived back at the apartment about twenty minutes later.

Y/n opened her door on her own before I could come over to do it for her. She gave me a weak smile and grabbed my hand, intertwining her fingers with mine as we walked into the building. I unlocked the door and let Y/n go in first before walking in as well and shutting the door behind me.

"May, we're home early!" I yelled.

No answer.

I tossed my keys down onto the kitchen counter and started to walk away, but a little blue post-it note caught my attention. I backed up and grabbed the note off the counter.

I went out with Happy for a bit. I should be back by the time you guys get home, but I figured I would tell you where I was just incase.
Love,
   May

I smiled at the note and placed it back down on the counter.

Y/n was playing with Koda with the sleeves of my jacket she was wearing. She was smiling slightly but I could tell something was up. I walked over and sat down next to her.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, just tired. I'm gonna take a shower and head to bed." She informed.

"Okay."

"I love you." She stated as she stood up.

"I love you too." I smiled.

She quickly kissed my lips and walked into our room for a second, grabbing something before heading into the bathroom and shutting the door behind her.

...

It was about an hour later when I realized Y/n hadn't come out of the bathroom yet.

It never takes her more than 45 minutes.

I paused what I was watching on the TV and got up from where I was sitting, sitting the TV remote down on the coffee table before walking into the hall. I stopped at the bathroom door.

The water isn't running.

"Y/n?" I called, knocking on the door.

No answer.

"Y/n?" I called again, getting worried.

Still no answer.

I turned the doorknob.

Damn it. It's locked.

"Y/n, I'm coming in, stay away from the door." I stated.

I stepped back and slammed my foot into the door beneath the doorknob. The door swung open and closed quickly. I pushed it open and looked inside.

I went pale.

My breathing quickened and I started shaking as tears started to fall down my face.

Y/n was laying on the floor, unconscious with a bloody knife laying beside her hand. Her wrists had two extremely deep cuts on them and were covered in blood, as was the floor around them.
