Everyone on the Octopod has different interests and likes, and movie and show nights end in disaster.
Everyone ends up fighting on what they want and don't want to watch. It's hard enough to choose an app, let alone a movie.
An app everyone can agree to watch on is Youtube cos they got a whole lot of cool stuff on there.
A movie that people can agree on is anything modern Pixar like "Wall-E" or "Encanto".
Hamilton's off the table because everyone's gonna start singing along to the songs, and Kwazii's the worst singer imaginable so that doesn't work. Plus, whenever Inkling says no to that, the Captain consoles everyone by saying, "I think you all sing better than the actors anyway."
Peso and Inkling have bonded on their love for informational documentaries. Peso will usually try to pick one that he thinks will be interesting for everyone else, but they end up being bored to sleep anyways. All the kids' guardians like the documentaries simply cos it makes the kids tired.
Dashi loves (PG) romantic musicals, but they bore everyone else, and the kids and Kwazii can't be mature about kissing scenes apparently. But everyone watches these movies cos they love her and she's always willing to watch what they want.
The Vegimals will watch Sesame Street and baby shows on repeat. No one dares complain cos 1. They're so CUTE! And 2. It's more fun to watch the Vegimals dance and sing along with the music in the the show than watch the actual show.
Whenever the Vegimals find a movie they think you'll like, they'll follow you around for the whole day, jumping around and chirping at your knees for you to follow them so they can show you.
When there are too many people on the couch for someone to sit comfortably, the captain will give his seat up for them.
