Everyone on the Octopod has their own specific roles in their big, wild family, and they all love it.
Inkling is the grandpa of their family, a kind, loving old guy who takes care of everyone as best as he can, and gives great advice and comfort, but falls asleep in his chair far too often, talks for so so so long, and is a complete boomer.
Captain is daddy. He takes care of all his babies, treasures each and every one of them so much, and will drop anything else to take care of them.
Peso is the Baby and the Mother at the same time. He'll gladly sit in the Captain's lap and let the Captain cuddle and kiss him all over when he's sad, but can and has physically dragged the Captain to bed at 2 AM while the Captain was working cos the Captain needs sleep.
Peso is the sweetest big brother of all time to the kids. Whenever he needs to get them to take medicine, (usually when they're sick so they don't have the energy to run away), he'll gently coax them out of the corner they're in, stroke their heads, kiss them, and console them that there's nothing to be afraid of and the medicine will help them.
