After living with each other for so long, the Octonauts and kids learned from each other.

Creature stereotypes are false. Completely false. Bears are seen as mean and tough, the Captain is a sweet ball of white fluff who'll love anyone and everyone as his own child. Bunnies are passive and nonviolent. Kwazii can tell you that's not true. Tweak has beaten him up too many times to count.

Everyone knows a little bit of each others' skills on the Octopod, so if someone's out sick, everyone else can cover for them.

Except the skill of watching the kids. It's only Tweak who watches the girls for Dashi, the Captain who watches Pinto, and Shellington who watches Squirt.

The Vegimals idolize EVERYBODY. and have done everything from walking after the captain, trying to walk all serious like him, but just ended up looking cute, to scolding the kids for getting hurt along with Peso and giving them an all-better hug so they wouldn't be hurt or sad about being scolded.

Kwazii was kind of offended when the Vegimals ran into a wall pretending to be him.

Dachshunds come from Germany originally. Some of Dashi's family lived in Germany, and knew German. She and er sisters ended up learning some simple German as well as some...more lesser known phrases ("Saumensch (pig f.), Saukerl (pig m.), Arschloch(a-hole), Dummkopf (idiot), etc.) and Peso and Pinto learned a lot of juicy Spanish cuss words from Pogo whenever he slipped up.

By consequence, Kwazii and Tweak now know how to cuss each other out in multiple languages, and the words "arschloch" and "pendejo" are used a "little" too much.

Sometimes for his own entertainment, Peso will join the kids in playing, and will try to learn how to play their games and teach them new ones that are less destructive.
