First off I want to say thank you for all of the support on Serenity! I put all of my extremities into it and some days I didn't know if it was going to get finished but I'm so happy we made it.
I know a lot of you have questions so I hope this answers most of them, if you have more feel free to reach out to me!
Where did the idea of Serenity come from?
When I originally came up with the idea of Serenity I always knew how it was going to end. I wanted it to be a book within a book. Literally Serenity retelling all the events that happened between her and Noah. I didn't want them to have an official happy ending because it was out of my comfort zone and I want to explore different tropes. I love forbidden romance and flawed characters. I also like sacrifices and making characters choose between their love or something else.
What happened between Noah and Serenity?
There was massive foreshadowing in the story. If you were here in it's early stages then you saw the teaser that explicitly stated they were not going to end up together. I removed it later but I still wanted it to be clear that these two were doomed from the beginning. Serenity is flawed and so is Noah. The place of blame is very important in the story. Noah's POV's are more so for the audience than they are for her. She blames him for almost everything that happened when it's equally their faults.
When Serenity writes her book she writes it as if she never read those letters. She's mad at him. That doesn't necessarily make her an unreliable narrator, but keep in mind she's mad as fuck. All of the events she explains are how she felt when it happened not when she found out what else was going on. She does hint multiple times that she knows she did something wrong or she should've known better but for the most part she does not acknowledge Noah's side because she can't. The fact that they didn't communicate with each other properly is reflected in their POV's and in the way the story ended.
I love them but they're both really stupid and I wanted them to make stupid decisions because they are both impulsive and hot headed and are kind of blinded by their lust and mixed feelings for each other.
They were both bad for each other. Trouble followed them everywhere. Characters like Andrew and Alex were there to show that even when given the opportunity to have something less complicated she still chose conflict because it excited her. She knew what she was doing, that's why she states multiple times she should've been honest with herself.
Why didn't they end up together?
There are a number of reasons why they didn't end up together but let's dicuss a few. The main thing I'd like to say is it wasn't that they couldn't end up together. They definitely could've but they wouldn't.
They did not know how to communicate with each other. Noah is unable to open up to her in the way he wants and in the way she wants which makes it difficult to give himself to her. He has to heal from Rose and his mother and learn that he doesn't have to do everything on his own.
Serenity needs to mature and slow down. She's always been care free and she's noted that she romanticizes her life and the people in it. She also makes it clear that she knows when given the opportunity she can get wrapped up in someone and that feeling consumes her. She has a big heart and she loves with every part of her and that's her down fall. Especially when it comes to loving a man like Noah Harrington.
To Noah letting her go was the best thing he could do for her and it was. He could've been selfish and chosen her but then what? She was on her way to France he barely knew how to be in a relationship let alone a long distance one. He has to get his shit together and so does she. They're both very independent people so because of that they clash easily.
Also I really didn't want them to end up together. I love happy endings but they're both on punishment. You guys don't understand how hard it was to not make them perfect and so in love and do everything right. IT WAS SO FUCKING HARD.
My babies need to learn and grow and then come back together and be happy forever and have babies but until then, punishment!
What's next?
I'm finding my writing style with each project and I want to continue to challenge myself.

Outside of fanfiction I plan to write a story called The Bounty. Which is an enemies to lovers and told from the Male MC's POV. I don't have a synopsis for you yet but basically he is a bounty hunter given a target but things don't go as planned :)))
I need a short break from writing because i'm burnt out but I wont make you wait on the epilogue for long.
