In front of us, bouncing on the fallen Gido's back as if playing, was a small, fluffy slime. His color was a beautiful blue, proof that he was a simple slime and without any kind of magic mutation. He must have just been born and was trying to have a good time when he saw us passing by and thought we were friends.

"How cute..."

I couldn't help but mutter those words in a whisper, but that only made Kabal and Gido look at my way with puzzled looks on their faces.

"Cute nothing! This thing knocked me down with tremendous force, Eren!"

"Even if you say that, he's still cute!!!"

I protested Gido's claim with determination. How cute this slime was can't be denied, and besides, he must have just been wanting to play. There was no other reason he was jumping like that on Gido.

"I thought slimes couldn't see."

"He must be a unique one who has been given the ability to see... It wouldn't be so strange for uniques to be born in a place like this."

Kabal nodded at my words, agreeing with that possibility. There was still very little that people knew about unique monsters and named monsters, so people were in the habit of being hesitant to socialize with monsters of this type even when they had some intelligence. Still, seeing how cute this slime was, I couldn't help but think he couldn't be a threat.

"I don't care what he is, just get this thing off of me before he melts my gear, ok!?"

The moment Gido said that, we crashed. If after all this mission, which would most certainly be poorly paid, we still had to fix the equipment, then the reward we would receive would be practically nil. None of us could let that happen.

"Okay, I'll take it off. Don't move..."

"Just don't hurt the slime-san, okay...?"

Kabal approached slowly so as not to scare the slime, covering his sword with the scabbard so as not to corrode or injure the slime too much. I felt sorry for him for attacking him when what he wanted was a friend, but our equipment, in a way, was our highest priority. No matter how beautiful it is, it won't stop us.

And then, without further delaying things, Kabal attacked the little slime. His ability [Stun] must have been used because the slime flew quite far on impact, but... what is this? The body of the little slime, which impacted against the stone pillar next to us, collided with it and, without losing the momentum with which it moved, changed direction, colliding with the ceiling shortly after.

The slime, with envying speed, jumped around us using the ceiling, floor and walls as fulcrums, at a speed that, even with his body passing by Kabal's side, Kabal had not been able to follow it in time to attack. Finally, I, who was far away from the two of them, saw the way that slime slammed into a wall, turning all the vertical force he was using to move before into a horizontal force, and then, with all his might, he lunged at the Kabal's body.

*POOOF*

The thud of something hitting metal, followed by the Cabal's body slamming against the ground from not being able to withstand the impact, were the only things that happened. And I, who was on the outside watching everything, looked at this scene shocked at how the seemingly ordinary slime defeated my two companions, who were B rank adventurers and, as if it was nothing, he went back to playing jumping between their bodies, jumping back to back.

*Poyon~ Poyon~*

"What's with that slime! Isn't that too much strength?!"

"That's right!! Are you really a slime or are you lying to us?!!"
