Magic Dance (Iggee Rose x Reader)

A/n: Hello everybody! Today is February 7, 2021. One week till Valentine's Day! Figured I'd spoil y'all with a couple oneshots with me since y'all are little simps. <3 Love my Rosies.

Y/n pauses her movements, glancing over in the direction of the kitchen as she hears some music coming from it. She lets the Disney+ screen hover on Thor: Ragnarok as Y/n hears scuffling from the kitchen. 

Creeping around the corner of their shared house to go into the kitchen, Y/n sees Rose twerking in the kitchen, a butter knife clutched in her hand as four slices of bread and the turkey from the left over roast that you had last night rests on the counter, making sandwiches for dinner. 

Rose is dressed in white and rainbow sweatpants and a tank top, their curly brown hair tied into a sloppy bun at the crown of her head, tendrils of hair falling out. She lipsyncs to David Bowie's dulcet tones into the butter knife.

They whip around and yelp when she sees Y/n. "Baby, hi!" Rose exclaims, setting the knife down and grabbing her girlfriend's hand, pulling her in. 

"Why are you listening to the Labryinth soundtrack again?" Y/n asks, pretending not to enjoy seeing Rose so happy.

"Because David Bowie? With a riding crop? And a codpiece? And glitter? How is that even a question-?" Rose deadpans, twirling her around. "The movie wasn't great cinematically, but it was creative and it's just nostalgic! You can't act like it's not great."

"It was cute..." she mumbles reluctantly, letting Rose pull her in and tuck her chin over their shoulder. 

"Just like you," Rose says with a small smile, pressing a kiss to Y/n's temple. She pulls back, sitting Y/n down on a stool at the island.

"You remind me of the babe!" They say, perking up an eyebrow.

Y/n sighs. "What babe?"

"The babe with the power."

"What power?"

"The power of voodoo."

"Who do?"

"You do!"

"Do what?"

"Remind me of the babe- I saw my baby crying hard as babe could cry! What could I do? My baby's love had gone and left my baby blue! Nobody knew! What kind of magic spell to use? Slime and snail or puppy dog tails. Thunder or lightning- and baby said!" Rose sings avidly, pointing at Y/n as she performs.

"Dance magic dance! Dance magic dance! Dance magic dance! Put that baby spell on me- slap that baby; make him free! Jump magic jump. Jump magic jump! Jump magic jump!" The heavily invested performance continues for the endurance of the song, Rose taking Y/n's hands and pulling her up, intertwining their fingers and jumping around the kitchen as they giggle and sing.

"Alexa, play Fairytale by Alexander Ryback!" Rose shouts with a wolfish smile.

"No!" Y/n says, beaming and rubbing her face into Y/n's shoulder.

"Years ago when I was younger I kinda liked a girl I knew. She was mine and we were sweethearts. That was then, but then it's true," Rose sings softly, rubbing Y/n's back gently.

"I'm in love with a fairytale! Even though it hurts! Cause I don't care if I lose my mind! I'm already cursed!" Rose sings proudly to Y/n, smiling warmly at her.

Y/n captures Rose's lips, catching them both by suprise. "Every day we started fighting. Every night we fell in love. No one else could make me sadder but no one else could lift me high above! I don't know what I was doing~" Y/n sings.

Rose, of course, makes up the chorus in the background, dramatically oohing for her.

"When suddenly we fell apart!"  Rose and Y/n sing together, pulling together the harmonies before Rose pulls Y/n in, grasping her body against their own.

"Nowadays, I cannot find her. But when I do, we'll get a brand new start. I'm in love with a fairytale! Even though it hurts! Cause I don't care if I lose my mind! I'm already cursed!"  Rose spins Y/n out sharply during the violin solo, then back in, the two wildly waltzing around the kitchen, both barely missing the countertop edges.

The song ends and Rose smiles at Y/n, gently pushing her hair aside. "Oh, my darling. You are so beautiful. I'm extremely lucky to call you mine."
