I Scream Pt 2

After the recording of "I Scream", Melanie and Y/n were basically inseperable. They had gone to the studio a few more times to record revisions. Soon after the kiss, Melanie had taken Y/n to her favorite cafe, an adorable pastel goth tea shop, and officially asked her to be her girlfriend. 

Fans were going crazy, all though nothing was confirmed. The paparazzi had seen them together and had released a lot of theories. Fan pages were posting and comments on recent posts had been blowing up. 

Along with being a music artist, Y/n also had a YouTube channel. Comments on that were often asking about her relationship status.

Y/n and Melanie are cuddling on Mel's couch, watching Sleeping Beauty. "As much as I love this movie, there is so much wrong with it," Y/n sighs.

Mel nods. "I mean, believe me, I would love it if you kissed me to wake me up, but in the original book, Philip also raped her. Obviously the DIsney version is much more modified, but still, they are teaching kids it's okay to kiss someone without consent."

Y/n kisses her. "I love how in sync we are."

Y/n pauses the t.v. "Hey, Mel?"

"Yeah?"

"What should we do about the public and our relationship?"

"Like, should we put out an announcement?"

Y/n nods. 

"I would be perfectly fine with announcing it, as long as you are comfortable," Melanie responds.

Y/n smiles. "I felt the exact same way. We can announce it tommorow."

Y/n and Melanie sit side by side. "Are we ready?"

"Yes."

Their fingers click the post button, posting the same image on both of their accounts. The picture is of them kissing, but their lower faces are covered by a fan. The caption reads "Thank you for loving me. We are going live on Y/n's YouTube Channel in 5."

Almost immediatly, likes begin flooding in. They turned the comments off, because they didn't want to deal with haters.

Fan pages begin reposting and tagging them. 

Just to be thorough, Y/n goes live on her YouTube channel. Slowly people begin to trickle in.

"Hi, everyone! My name is Y/n L/n and this is my girlfriend, Melanie Martinez. We just made our relationship public and wanted to interact with people. So, go ahead and ask your questions," Y/n introduces. 

People begin commenting questions and well-wishes, making the couple smile. 

"Okay, first question: Did you guys meet because of a song for After School EP?" Melanie says.

They smile at each other. "Yes, yes we did. But you'll just have to wait for After School to drop."

"How long have you been together?"

"A month and half, roughly."

"How commited are you?"

"I'm not going to abandon her, if that's what you mean."

"I wish I could date you, Mel."

"Don't we all?! How I got so lucky, I'll never know."

"Is Y/n a good partner?"

"She is so sweet and caring. It's only been a little while, but I can see a really solid and happy future with her."

"I'm crying you guys are so sweet together!!"

"I'm glad that you all are happy!"

"Do you love each other?"

Mel and Y/n look at each other. It was clear that they loved each other, and their caption had said it, but they have never officially said "I love you".

"Yes, I do love Melanie."

"I love Y/n."

They lean in and kiss. The chat blows up.

"AH I CANT WITH THEM"

"GAYGAYGAYGAYGAYGAY I THINK IM GAY"

"IM SO LONELY"

"THEY JUST CALLED ME LONELY AND DESPERATE IN LIKE 56 DIFFERENT LANGUAGES"

"I WANT THEM TO KISS ME"

With a laugh, Y/n signs off, closing the live. "I mean it, Melanie. I love you."

"I love you, too."
