My curtains are ripped open, sunlight pouring in as I groan, covering my eyes with my duvet.
"Rise and shine hun." Mom sing-songs.
I groan, burritoing myself in my blankets.
To be able to stay like this all day.
My wishes are denied as mom grabs the bottom of my duvet, tugging at them making me groan even more.
I'm not getting out of this bed without a fight.
"Come on hun. This is one of my only days I'm off, and I made breakfast!"
I stuff my face into my pillow. "I'm not hungry mom." The pillow muffled my voice. If I ignore her, she'll go away.
The duvet is ripped off of me, and I squeal feeling the cold air hit my skin, and as quickly as it was ripped away, it was dropped on me. I roll over, feeling my duvet, and I curl back into my blanket burrito.
If I ignore her, she'll go away.
"Get up lazy ass." I hear footsteps walk closer to the direction of my door. Finally. Some peace. "Oh and invite Jace over for breakfast."
I lift my head up from my pillow, eyes squinting at my mom. "Why?"
She shrugs. "Just because. Oh! How did I forget about Lane! Little Delainey. If she is free, invite her too. Meet me downstairs in 30 minutes!"
I lay my head back on my pillow. Five more minutes.
"Now Juliana!"
I groan, grabbing my phone from my night stand. The blue light blinds me as I go and scroll through my notifications.
Parker: My mom forced me to go to the doctors last night. I have the flu :(
Ugh. Poor Parker.
Having the flu sucks.
I would know. In 8th grade, Jace insisted he only had a cold, and being the dumbass I am, I shared a water with him. Safe to say, I started having flu symptoms the next day. Jace's mom took us both to urgent care, and load and behold, we have the flu.

I almost forgot about my date with Parker for a moment.
It's not like I don't like Parker. I do. He's so sweet and genuine, but I'm just testing the waters right now.
