We just came back from our call that we have been to for around 5 hours. And it starting to be pretty late.
Squad and truck came back at the same time, and Ambo was still here.
When I got out from truck a saw Casey got out from the truck.
Severide - Casey, can I talk to you about something?
Matt - sure!
I decided it would be best if we went outside instead, so Casey followed me outside.
Matt - what wanted you to talk about?
Severide - what's going on with you and Emily?
Matt - nothing....or I just don't know...
Severide - but aren't you with Hallie?
Matt - yes, but she and I haven't been a good place for awhile.
Severide - okay...
Matt - why are you wondering?
Severide - ooh it's nothing...
Matt - spill it out Severide!
Severide - okay, don't get mad! I think I like Emily.
Matt - okay....
Severide - you have nothing to say about it?
Matt - what do you want me to say?
Severide - would it be okay if I date or what?
Matt - does she like you?
Severide - I don't know, I haven't asked her or told her about this.
Matt - okay, I have one thing to say. Don't hurt her!
Severide - I will not.
Matt - good, maybe we should head back inside.
Severide - yeah.
I couldn't believe that Casey was cool about it, or maybe he just not want to say anything.
Or this is just weird when he is my best friend and Emily is his ex and mother of his child.

(Next day)
Matt's pov
Shift was over and I had just left some paperwork at chiefs office, so I just needed to change my clothes to regular.
When I got to the locker room I saw Emily there, and she was also changing her clothes.
Matt - hi!
Emily - hi!
Matt - aren't you supposed to pick Jamie up?
Emily - no, Lucas would leave him at kindergarten and then I will pick him up in the afternoon.
Matt - okay!
Emily - so how are we going to do this?
Matt - I don't know...
Emily -would you like to pick him up together later?
Matt - I would like that!
Emily - good!
Matt - maybe there is things that we need to talk about...
Emily - like what?
Matt - how are we going to do this? I want to be there for him, I want to co parenting with you.
Emily - okay, but I don't think we should talk about this here.
Matt - I get that.
Emily - come home to me, and we can talk about this.
