Cassie's Dress
❦Trainers! Oh my God, I missed my beautiful trainers so much! Especially my Old Skool Vans, they're my favourite! I bought my first pair when I was in my first year of college and every single time they've died I've gone and bought a new pair. I know what you're all going to say, 'Cassie you can't wear Vans to a bar in London, you'll look underdressed!'. Yeah, well, guess what? I'm wearing a dress! Who's going to be actively looking at my feet? Plus, I'm going out with boys. Girls I would understand, but boys? Nah, I don't think they care, as long as we look decent in what we're wearing I don't think they're bothered about our shoes.
"Baby tell me how did you get so cold, enough to chill my bones." I quietly sing as I straighten my hair. "It feels like I don't know you anymore."
I can't get ready without music, otherwise I'm late. Don't ask why, I think it just gets me going? I've ate enough so I won't get drunk quickly tonight, and I'm controlling what I drink rather than just taking every opportunity for a free drink! Yeah, I'm talking about you, past Cassie, don't think I'll forget that night. I'm pretty much dressed and ready, all I need now is to get a bag and stuff everything I need into it. I carry on singing as I pack a little bag with my essentials; this bag is basically my baby. What are those bags called that are the same size as hand bags but have a shoulder-bag-length strap? Are they just called shoulder bags? I don't know?
I hear gentle knocking on my door, I could just about hear it over my favourite song. I sigh, turning down 'Cold' by Maroon 5 and walking up to the door. I hope whoever this is is quick, because I don't have an hour on my hands to have a 'quick chat' with a neighbour over my music. That's the one thing about living in a flat! As soon as I put on any music, my petty neighbours suddenly want to complain! Never mind the elephants living above us, but my music that I play for an hour or so every other day is what pisses them off the most!
"Hello- What are you doing here?"
I forgot Kai knows where I live. To be fair, I didn't expect him to turn up at my door again? He's dressed in a plain, black, branded sweater and denim shorts; he also has a pair of fancy sunglasses on his head. He's got his car keys in one hand and his phone in the other, and he flashes me a smile as I open the door. I can smell male cologne very faintly, unlike other people who douse themselves in a whole bottle before going out. It's not intoxicating, but it smells sort of sweet? I can't describe it?
"Picking you up?" He frowns back, giving me a confused look.
"Oh, thank you?" I mumble, wandering back into my apartment to grab everything I need. "I can drive myself, you know?"
"Am I not allowed to be nice to you?" He grins as we make our way towards the lifts.
"Yeah, but you've done so much for me, why can't I do something for you?" I return, tapping my key card on the button to call the lift.
