"May classes ka na ulit next week." I sighed while I was helping Matt cover his notebooks using construction papers.

He nodded. "Mabigat nga raw ang grade 9."

I frowned at what he said. "So you'll be busy?"

"Probably... Mabigat daw talaga tapos ang dami raw homeworks palagi."

"Classmates kayo ni Julian?" I asked him even though I wanted to ask about his other friends too. I know they hang out often but I also know that in regular school, they spend most of their time inside their classrooms.

They only hang out during breaks and extracurricular activities so it prevented them from being too close. Well, except for Ella because they were classmates last academic year and they were also together in football.

He nodded. His face was straight but I can hear the delight in his voice.

"Oh..." I trailed because I didn't know what to say. It's not like it will change his section if I told him that I didn't like the idea of him being classmates with his other friends.

My forehead creased because he never mentioned that he and Ella were always partners in class projects. Diba she's like, number 1 sa batch niyo?"

"Okay," I answered and shrugged. "So, that means hindi na kayo magkakasama after class, diba? Kasi magkakasama na nga kayo sa classroom. Like, nakakasawa 'yon."

He looked at me. "Bakit? Nakakasawa ba kapag lagi mong kasama ang isang tao?"

I looked away because that really sounded wrong even though it meant another thing. "It depends on the person you're hanging out with. I don't really know."

His gaze went back to the notebook he was covering.

I frowned. "We're not always together kaya!"

"Hindi ba?" he asked me while he was still busy covering a new notebook. "Araw-araw tayong nagkikita."

I shook my head. "No, kulang pa."

I know that he makes my heartbeat race and I feel awkward at times but I just let my feelings happen because if I don't and I push him away, it will also be difficult.
