In the woods a Beacon Hills police officer pulls up to the hale house looking around before reporting back that it was deserted. Derek Hale watching from the second floor trying to stay out of sight. After making sure that no one was there the officer get back in his car and leaves.
Derek watches as the car drives off before making his way downstairs earlier that day he was looking around the burn house trying to find anything he could recover and in the process of looking he had found a bunch of old photos and books in the basement.
Derek had wanted to find out why he felt a connection with luna or why he felt the sudden need to protect her. As a boy his mother had told him stories about this girl she was meant to bring peace to the wolf and those alike, how this girl had a special gifts and one day she would return to them and he would know when he feel it, But he always thought those were stories.
"Derek..Derek i know your here"
Rolling his eye Derek got up and made his way out side to see Scott.
"Yes Scott"
"Look I'm sorry i got you arrested really i am"
"Ok" Derek replied unimpressed
"I need your help"
"With what"
"Someone was attacked at the school"
"And you think you did it" Derek says making his way to scott now interested in the topic at hand.
"I don't know maybe..i just..don't know"Scott says running his hand through his hair walking back and forth.
"Am i going to hurt someone".
"Yes"
"Will i kill someone"
"It's a possibility"Scott stops moving and starts thinking.
"I can help you remember" Derek suggest and explains to Scott how he could show him to control the shift, even on a full moon and begins to tell him that he need to go back to where it happens and use his senses to guide him. After Derek helps Scott, Scott leaves.
Derek walks back to his house and continue looking through the old pictures smiling at the fond memories of his family smiling softly.
