I look over at Deb who was wearing multiple bandages. I felt concerned since my last time she wore that many bandages was when an experiment failed. Wes drag Deb away and I get the gut Instinct to the follow them so I do and what I see terrifies me. I run towards them and grab Wesley's wrist and before he even gets the chance to hit Deb.
"what the hell Wes? why would you go to hit Deb" I asked no I demanded serious with the audacity that this man had.
" it's none of your business Ben, stay out of this" he replied. Deb was shocked and frozen in place,she was nearly crying.
"It is my business when you are hurting my friend and colleague." I retaliated and he walks out peeved but I had to stop them from hurting Deb. It hurt me calling her my friend but it's better than not having her my life.
" hey Ben? thanks for that but don't tell anyone especially Nelson" Deb walks out before i can speak. I stand there figuring out what i should do.
