Ruthless Prison

Surrounded by a towering wall of pure stone, with arching bones in the landscape that resembled the threatening jaws of a creature of the night, a single tower stood on the outskirts of the town. The ominous structure had only one access point for those entering, which was a large gate at the end of the stone bridge; it was the only way for those unfortunate to be taken to the gloomy building.

A streak of lightning flashed through the dark clouds that blanketed the entire sky, highlighting the establishment in all of its eeriness. Anyone could tell by a single glance that this was no ordinary building compared to the unique and eccentric structures throughout the town. That was mainly because it was infamously known as...

        "The Conformatorium."

The group of four (consisting of the two residents of the Owl House as well as a frightened Luz and a reluctant Danica) were hiding against the smaller stone wall that encompassed the building, gazing up at the looming structure. As soon as Eda explained the situation, they were quick to make their way toward the ominous place (Danica, fortunately, managed to convince her into not blindfolding the three during the flight on her staff, much to Luz's relief, and the older witch's disappointment).

"A place for those considered unsuitable for society." Eda added, distaste and sarcasm mixed in her voice as she briefly glanced to the side.

Luz noticed another one of Eda's wanted posters on the wall and tore it off, curiously blinking at the picture. "Whoa. These guys really have the hots for you." She couldn't help but comment at the sight of the...intense drawing of Eda and King on the paper, especially the reward for capturing them: 1,000,000,000,000 SNAILS

"Yup." Eda winked at the human with a smug smirk on her features. "But we were never caught because we're too slippery ~ "

King climbed atop Luz's head and confidently gestured to himself. "Try to catch me when I'm covered in grease!" he said. "I'm a squirmy little fella!"

He promptly slipped off the girl's head with a startled "Weh!", only for Danica to swiftly catch him in her arms. "Best not ask where the grease comes from..." The younger witch wryly told Luz, holding the little demon to her body.

Luz elapsed a blink and squinted curiously at the wanted poster, bringing it closer to her face. "Hey... How come you're not on here, Dani?" She couldn't help but ask, blinking up at the said girl. The human mentally grimaced at the memory of the incident with the guard earlier when he attempted to arrest her for only talking with Eda. "You seem pretty close with Eda and King. Don't they practically arrest anyone who even breathes near a criminal here?"

Danica faltered ever-so-slightly at her innocuous question, glancing to the side with a sheepish smile. "Well...I haven't really been around that long to give myself much of a reputation..." she replied, lightly scratching her cheek as King crawled out of her arms and perched upon her shoulder.

Eda snorted in amusement. "More like she always hides her face in public every time things go south with us!" she grinned, giving a rough pat on the back that nearly caused Danica to choke on her saliva. "Probably a good thing, too. Considering that Dani's pretty familiar with...certain people, if you know what I mean."

Danica gave out a small groan as she hid her face behind her hands, embarrassment evident in her voice. "Please...don't say that out loud." she complained before removing her hands away to turn towards Luz. "All right, it's because nobody really knows about me...yet. But if people find out about me and Eda, things will get pretty...ugly for both of us. And I can't say it'll be an exception for you once folks here find out you're a human who knows us."
