[Sebas]

"Does everyone know I'm here?" I said as I accepted his hand.

When he pulled me to my feet, I noticed a bunch of foxes on the ground groaning.

"Even I know that if you follow the girls, that you will show up eventually." Flint smirked, although now that was closer look at him, he was sweating a bit.

"I don't suppose you have an escape plan?" I asked as I flicked my wrists and the battlestaves shrunk and flew back to my hands as wands.

"I thought you were the pro at this." Flint snarked as he drew his cutlass.

"Do you know where Bygones is?" I asked.

"It's that posh gambling hall just up the way, ya?" Flint asked as he swiped away a talisman spell that came through the wall.

"That's the one, we just need to get everyone there and hold the line for a spell."

"What kind of spell?"

"One that will bring the building down and help us get away."

"I like the sound of that."

I dashed to the hole and saw the girls fighting and being pushed back. I pulled a disposable wand from my sleeve. "Girls, I made an exit, let's move!"

"It's not going to be that easy-" Cornelius stopped as soon as I pointed my wand at him. "Shi-"

"Abracadabra." I winked and then I hurled the stick like a grenade.

The girl fox agents rushed to his side, and they surrounded themselves with a barrier made of the glowing talisman ropes made of yellow colored magic.

The glowing wand toppled end over end as it gathered the rich layer of ambient ley line magic in the air. My girls were swift to act and dashed for the exit.

Nerinin was the last one I grabbed her hand and yanked her through as the explosion shook the ground. It was powerful enough to kill a lesser warrior, but Cornelius and his bunch were aces and barely flinched no matter what I threw at them.

"Welcome to my glamorous adventures." I smiled at Nerinin who was on top of me and blushing slightly at the closeness.

I slapped her thigh a little since I could see the 'I want to kiss you' look in her eyes. "Come on, that isn't going to stop them for longer than a moment."

Sure enough, there was already a gust of wind that blew away the dust and debris.

"This way lovebirds, we gotta jump ship!" Flint urged with a mocking clap to get our attention.

We rolled to our feet and followed Flint.

"When did you get here?" Nerinin asked.

Just then the hole we had crawled through was made bigger with another explosion, then swordmaster Cornelius hopped out with a dozen foxes and snapped a finger. One fox dressed as a ninja-style shrine maiden mashup appeared. She pulled out a staff and shook it while casting a spell. It must have been some super healing spell because while Cornelius gave chase those fallen foxes glowed and were pulled off the ground as if by marionette wires and were set on their feet fully revitalized.

"We don't really have time for that do we?" Flint said, as we made a run for Bygones while on the main street. "Sebas, do we go right in?"

"That or the roof!" I shouted thinking the roof was the safer option since we wouldn't have security all over us... not that it mattered in the end.
