BAILEY COMES OUT of the shower, wrapped in a short towel taking a seat at her vanity. I look over to her from where I'm seated on my bed watching as she combs through her blonde hair with her fingers before going through it with a brush.

"Are you going to go to the valentine's day party?" I ask, recalling the same question Scout had asked me days prior.

After the scene that occurred in the hospital, and Lo not denying that it was him and his little group of friends that had written over Valé and Scout's bedroom wall...havoc occurred.

"You did that didn't you?" Scout looks at Lo, and it's in her eyes I see her not wanting for it to be him, but in this instance, truth is not relative.

"Scout-" He begins and it sounds an awful lot like an apology.

"Are you fucking Serious right now Lo? Do you know how dumb I look defending your name?" She's yelling now and I watch along with Nadia and Valé, the boys have disappeared off to somewhere.

"Baby-" He reaches for her even in his state of being bedridden, Scout shrugs him off.

"You sick fuck don't touch me!"

"I didn't do it." He looks at me for help, and I look the other way, suddenly finding interest in the clock nailed to the hospital wall. No way am I helping him - I've enabled their relationship for way too long.

"You've never been a good liar Lo."

Bailey shakes her head, and I watch as her features drop at the question. "It's not a valentines day party, it's Caleb Delvaúxs."

"He's a valentines day baby?" She nods at my shock, "lucky, does he just get to have a perfect life? I would kill to be born on valentines day."

Bailey smiles and I find myself reciprocating. I don't know how she was back at Sterling, but she doesn't smile much here. I don't see her do much at all, she sticks to herself most of the time. Just her and her phone, and whatever it is she does on there.

"I'm sure you have a good birthday too." I appreciate her kindness, but I really don't.

"January the ninth is not special, trust me I googled it when I was younger."

Bailey pulls her lips between her teeth in thought and I feel my brows furrow in confusion at the action. "Sorry, I'm just trying to think of a character born on that day. None come to mind." She shrugs apologising.

"Don't worry, it's not new. I guess I'll just have to get with someone born on a special day to even us out."

The door of our room opens up instantly and Azriel's eyes fall onto me before they turn and look at Bailey who's nude under her short towel, she yelps holding it up to her body tighter than it was before and Azriel instantly turns the other way.
