¤ 3rd Point Of View ¤

It was a hard landing against the floor for (Y/n) as she held Shuntaro in her arms and pushed them both out of the way of the burst of fire that Sukuna had released towards the 6 year old- as punishment for sitting in his space. Sukuna was a man who showed no mercy, that's why he didn't care if (Y/n) jumped in the way of his attack just as he knew he would. But he couldn't help but be disappointed when she managed to dodge the attack. Though, he could have sworn he saw it graze her shoulder...

(Y/n) couldn't help but cough up some blood as she hut the floor, encasing Shuntaro within her arms to protect him not only from the flames but also that harsh hit against the ground, her taking the brunt of the hit. Sukuna barely batted an eye in her direction, already use to not only her self-sacrificing nature but also the random unexplained fits of coughing blood. The man sat down nonchalantly in his usual spot, rolling his eyes as Shuntaro crawled out of (Y/n)'s arms and helped her up.

"Sukuna! That could have really hurt him!" (Y/n) scolded with a small frown as she stood up, dusting herself off from the dirt she managed to get on her kimono from the fall, Shuntaro helping her do so also. It wasn't long before the princess began searching the young orphan for any injuries, ignoring the gaze on her wrist that she barely felt.
"Are you alright, Shuntaro-kun?" The girl asked softly, bending down to the boys height in order to height in order to see him better.

"Yeah. I'm okay." The boy replied with a confident nod, his eyes flickering over towards Sukuna with great curiousity.
"Oh no, the shogi pieces." (Y/n) whined, noticing how she knocked off all the shogi pieces onto the floor when she launched herself at Shuntaro.
"I'll help you pick them up!" Shuntaro offered, pushing his curiousity towards Sukuna deep down as he helped the princess clean up.

When they had both sat finished their clean up, Shuntaro helped (Y/n) sit down at her usual spot just about half a metre away from Sukuna- not being able to help but to steal glances at the angry pinkette who tried his best to ignore him.
"Is this Sukuna-san?" Shuntaro whispered to (Y/n), his 'whisper' being not so quiet and making (Y/n)'s eyes widen in panic after hearing Sukuna's name leave his lips.

And she was right for panicking because the moment Sukuna heard it, the man's eyes morphed into a look of rage and he instantly sent another gust of fire towards the boy in order to annihilate him- just as he did to everyone who spoke his name. With them being so close, (Y/n) didn't have time to move him out of the way. So instead she covered Shuntaro's body with her own and waited for the scorching pain against her back

But it never came.

She opened her eyes a few moments later with hesitation, turning around to see no trace of the fire that was once centremetres away from torching her to death. The girl looked at Sukuna with a blank expression, thinking that he must have deactivated the jujutsu before it hit her. This thought made her give him a soft smile, one that he scoffed at which only made her more amused as she retook her seated position once again. And he says he doesn't care about me, she thought.

Little did she know that what she thought had happened within the span of those few seconds had not happened in the way she thought it did. And only two people amongst the three there had realised that- her not being one of them.
"The fire didn't hurt you..." Shuntaro muttered quietly, his words not being picked up by anyone but himself. He had seen the whole thing, and he was in pure awe.

He saw how the gust of fire did infact hit the princess- and how it didn't do a damned thing to her.

Shuntaro also saw the way Sukuna's eyes widened in suprise. It was only for a split second- but he saw it.
