I felt suffocated as the hot water ran down my body in smooth streams.

I tried not to focus on the inevitable, the constant thought of what could happen while I'm gone was looming around my mind.

Apparently, the police had traced whoever was sending the creepy messages to me and Aspen after I told her dad about everything.

They wanted me to come in to see the person.

I actually requested to because I wanted to know who was this motherfucker who had been messing with me for fucking weeks.

I had to leave the hospital and freshen up before I headed over to the mental facility. I felt my nerves growing worse by the minute as I thought about everything.

Livi is actually the one who insisted I go as a way to help myself feel better about what happened. She thought if I saw the person getting what they deserved then I would be more okay.

I doubt it but at least it's worth a shot.

"Dalton, you have to get leaving soon." I heard Luka yell from outside the bathroom, knocking softly on the door.

I just hummed in agreement as I knew he couldn't hear me. I hated being around anyone at the moment because all they did was give me these stupid pitying looks.

I hated those looks.

I finally finished my shower and went to my room to get changed. Thankfully, I didn't run into anyone on the way down the hall.

Call me rude but I really just wanted to be alone until Aspen was okay again.

I changed into some random clothes and it hurt a little to see what I was wearing.

I was wearing a shirt of mine that Aspen loved a lot and would take it and wear it. I also just had some regular grey sweatpants that she once told me she loved on me.

Even the shirt smelled like her.

I grabbed my phone and slid it into my pocket along with my keys. I slowly made my way out of my room, hoping nobody was in the living room.

Just my damn luck.

As I walked out into the living room, I caught everyone in our friend group turning to look as I came down the hall.

I threw up a small wave before I walked quicker over to the door. I stepped out and was about to lock the door before Vita stepped out too.

"Hey, D." She softly smiled, trying to hide the pity on her face.

"Hey."

"Where you headed?" She asked, shutting the door behind her and crossing her arms.

"Just to run an errand real quick."
