Chapter 37

Lucy's POV

Looking at the sky I couldn't help but think about how beautiful it was. Maybe I could see the beauty of it because I had been so close to losing against Acnologia. I didn't want anyone to know but I was terrified. I was terrified that I would lose and be killed or even worse than that, my family would be taken away from me again. Those thoughts didn't matter anymore because I had won, I had defeated Acnologia so he wouldn't be hurting or killing anyone, any time soon. Hearing footsteps and yelling I turned to see Natsu, Gray, Erza, Jellal, Cobra, Midnight, Laxus, Sting, Rogue, Juvia, Levy and Gajeel running towards me. The rest of Fairy tail and the other guilds were also coming towards me but they weren't running. Zeref and his demons were wisely staying back for now but I knew I would have to deal with them after as well.
"Well done my old friend. You have put an end to Acnologia's reign of terror as well as avenging the seven years that you lost your family for. Not only that but you have finally completed your ancestor Anna's last wish. Now I must return to the celestial world, brace yourself" Celestial King said.
"Of course, thank you for your assistance," I smiled and he smiled before he disappeared into a cloud of golden sparkles. As soon as he disappeared my star dress also disappeared and pain ripped through my body. Throwing my head back but making sure I kept a piece of material in my mouth I screamed with tears streaming down my face. This made everyone make a mad dash towards me trying to get me to respond to them. Laxus, Gajeel, Cobra and Midnight were smart enough to each grab a leg or arm to stop me from thrashing around and making my injuries even worse than what they already were. They watched in horror and awe as the left side of Lucy's face, chest, stomach and leg began to have patches turning dark blue like the evening sky with little dots that were shining like stars.
"Lucy-sama are you okay?" Juvia worried.
"Y-yeah. Yeah I'm okay now" I said, my voice cracked but no one mentioned.
"What was that?" Levy asked.
"That is the price that I paid for summoning the Celestial king and using his star dress. The first time I got that ability Fairy tail was being attacked by five dark guilds at once. Blue Pegasus and Lamia Scale were on their way to help but I was holding them off since everyone else had already been injured. I lost my eye and so the Celestial king replaced my eye with the current one I have and that is what serves as my contract with me" I explained as I ran my finger under my golden eye.
"Is that why sometimes your other eye flashes gold?" Rogue questioned.
"In a way, that is what happens when my magic rises drastically in a small amount of time" I explained before I got to my feet. I waved off their concerns and walked over to Acnologia. He was still laying where I had thrown him and he was staring at the sky.

"I lost" Acnologia whispered to no one in particular. It wasn't surprising that he was shocked by this after all this was the first time that he lost ever since he became a dragon.
"You are sounding a little more than lost right now. You are sounding down right defeated" I said and he turned to look at me.
"Am I not defeated? I have no doubts that you are soon going to kill me" Acnologia huffed before he stopped. Looking at his body he started to glow golden.
"No one is going to kill you so stop acting like this one loss is the end of the world. It is time for you to return and be where you belong" I said.
"If you dare to turn me into a human-" Acnologia snarled as he pushed himself up.
"Not even I'm strong enough to turn you into a human after all you are a dragon. You may have once been human but you are 100% dragon and no one can take them from you. That being said, it's time for you to go and be with the rest of the dragons. The time for dragons on earthland has passed just like the time for angels, gods and celestial spirits have passed. It is time for you to make a home in the stars" I smiled a small smile. He looked shocked and horrified at the thought of that.
"You can't send me there, they would kill me, you can't," he yelled as he grabbed onto the vest I was wearing.
"You're wrong, they won't kill you at all. They are going to open their arms and welcome you because you are their brethren and there is no reason for you to fight" I said and his grip loosened.
"You know Lucy Heartfielia, I have heard a lot of things about you before and there's one thing that has been said over and over again. You have a big heart, sometimes too big. You are always saving everyone around you even if they don't want your help. One day you are going to get killed because of your big heart so before you do that you better summon me so that I can help you" Acnologia said with a smirk before he fully disappeared leaving only an electric blue key, like the tattoos in his arms and face, in my hand. It wasn't the only key though, there was a red key, a pink key, a grey key, a yellow key, a purple key, a black key and a white key.
"These are" I whispered.
"The dragons have all returned to where they belong so their keys have not been released into Earthland so that the celestial mages can make contracts with them. These eight have already chosen who their contractor will be" The Celestial king's voice echoed through the air. I had a hunch on which dragons these keys, other than Acnologia's, summoned. But that was something that I could deal with after everything else was settled so I put the keys with my other keys and turned towards Zeref and his demons. It was time now.
