The game had gone brilliantly, with Krum catching the snitch much to Ron's delight, but the Irish had won the match 170-160. Harry had replayed Krum's Wronski Feint several times on his Omnioculars. He knew if he tried that Sirius might actually ground him for a year, but it would be good to have an extra ace up his sleeve. The party after the match had been lots of fun, with several friends in the surrounding area all getting together outside the tents to celebrate.

Now Mr. Weasley was shuffling everyone into the tents to get some sleep. Ginny and Hermione were directed to the smaller tent next to the main one to sleep, so that they had a little more privacy. After a few minutes of excited chatter Mr. Weasley firmly sent the boys to their separate rooms to sleep, and found his own room as well.

It felt like only seconds later that Harry jolted awake. Someone had screamed outside the tent. A moment later another scream came, and Ron jolted awake next to him. Mr. Weasley ran into the room, looking relieved that they were alright.

"Stay in the tent, boys, I'm going to go get the girls. Bill, Charlie, and the twins are in the kitchen area." With that he disappeared and Harry and Ron exchanged a glance before hurrying out to the main area. For once, Fred and George weren't making cracks at anything in particular, and Bill and Charlie had their wands out, facing the front of the tent. A moment of tense silence passed before the tent door opened and Bill tensed and Mr. Weasley stepped in, followed by Ginny and Hermione.

Mr. Weasley looked at Bill and Charlie and nodded. "Alright kids, here's what we're going to do. This tent is only safe as long as someone doesn't decide to just set it on fire. So we're all going to stick together, underage kids behind me and Charlie, and Bill behind everyone else to keep us together and watch our backs. I don't know what's happening, so get your wands out just in case, and if someone comes, shoot first ask questions later. If the Ministry wants to make a fuss about underage magic I'll deal with it. Now. Does everyone have their wands?" He waited for the kids to pull their wands out and nodded, turning to head out of the tent. "Remember, stay right behind me. I don't want anyone getting lost."

Mr. Weasley pulled out his own wand and stepped to the doorway of the tent, looking both ways before stepping out. "We're headed to the forest, so stay very close," he whispered. "And keep your wand out. If something scares you, hex it. Even if it's just waving branches I'd rather you lot be extra suspicious than not suspicious enough."

Harry nervously shared a glance with Ron, Hermione, and Ginny and carefully followed Fred as he followed Mr. Weasley and Charlie, with George right in front of Bill behind the three youngest. He thought about changing into his animagus form briefly, but decided that it wasn't worth the risk, since tigers weren't exactly native to this part of the world.

When they finally reached a good clearing quite a ways away from the tents, Mr. Weasley turned to them. "Everyone alright? Good. Now, I'm not very good at making portkeys, but Bill is, so while he finds something big enough to use for that we're just going to stay right here, understood?"

Harry and his friends nodded. Just as Bill got back with a rather large stick for the portkey, Harry's head snapped up at the start of a spell in the woods. "Stupefy!" "Morsmordre!" The two spells rang out at the same time, with a snake climbing out of a skull appearing in the sky in a dark smoky cast, and a pop coming from behind a stand of trees just before Harry's spell reached it.

Not even a second later about ten adults popped into existence around the Weasley group. "Which of you did it?" The man in front yelled. "Which of you put the dark mark in the sky?"

Mr. Weasley stepped forward. "Look around, you dolt! Do you really think the Weasleys, Harry Potter, and a muggleborn would put up the dark mark?"

The man sputtered for a minute before Harry hesitantly stepped forward. "I did hear someone saying a spell over there. I sent a stunner in that direction but I heard them apparate away before my spell hit."
