Don't Go Away (Leif x Reader)

~Chapter 15~

     "Asch let me deal with this," Y/N offers.

     "No! I wanna kill this guy, I'll gladly deal with it!" Leif maniacally smirks.

     "Fine! Leif, deal with it before I change my mind," Asch lets go of the blonde and walks over to the side. Leif stands in front of the man, aiming one of his sickles at the blonde's throat.

     "Now, answer the question!" Asch demands. The black and white cat, along with the mystical purple and blue spirit, run away from the scene meowing angrily.

     "My name's Jake! I'm the landlord of the apartment and I-," Jake begins, hands in the air and breath shaky.

     "Tell us what you're doing in here!" Y/N shouts.

     Jake scans the room, glancing at all the Daemos, firstly their face, then their clothes, to lastly their horns.

     "He must've snuck in here by the demands of Ava," Pierce suggests.

     "You mean she sent him here to kill us?!" Noi replies.

     "That can't be the case- There's no way!" Y/N denies their accusations.

     The Daemos glare at the man, who's still shaking like he's ready to pass out.

     "I- uh, please- Just please don't hurt me!" Jake shuts his eyes closed, ready for impact.

     "Quiet human Lord! We know Ava sent you in here to kill us," Asch states.

     Jake furiously shakes his head in response, looking to the exit to see Ava and Rhys walking into the hallway.

     "I have no idea what you're talking about!" Jake answers.

     Ava walks in, staring at the scene in front of her, wide-eyed. Rhys just looks puzzled.

     Pierce points to Jake and says, "This human snuck in."

     "Was this a betrayal?" Asch questions.

     Rhys realizes what's going on and instantly responds. "I was with her the whole time your majesty, she never called in reinforcements."

     "See I told you," Y/N rolls her eyes at her brother, slowly drawing back and disabling her wrist daggers.

     "That's right! I-," Ava establishes. "Wait, Jake?! What are you doing in my apartment?"

     "Well- I'm the landlord? I got worried when Mrs. Oats said-," Jake begins, hands in the air and slightly moving toward Ava.

    "Oh my lord no- Guys! Can you do something with your magic to make him forget?" Ava asks, worried.

     Y/N, immediately interested, walks behind Leif, to Jake, and raises her hand.

     "Leave it to me," Leif raises his hand slightly and puts away his sickles. Before he has the chance to knock Jake out, Y/N snaps her hand to the side of Jake's head with a powerful blow.

     "What did you-?!" Ava raises her hands to her mouth, scared.

     "He's out," Pierce remarks.

     "Oo! Good job Princess!" Noi compliments Y/N's precise move.

     "Hey, that was my move," Leif pouts while Y/N bows in response to Noi.

     "Guys! Quickly put on your human clothes and get rid of your horns before he wakes up!!" Ava snaps.

     "How?!" Noi asks, a confused look across his face

     "Just like your Daemos clothes!!" Ava lightly smacks her hand on her forehead, annoyed.

     "Yeah it's simple, I thought it was something more difficult," Leif crosses his arms, his sickles already gone from view.

     "Hurry up!"

     As soon as Ava says this, Pierce rips off his shirt and Asch simply looks down and pulls his black shirt up.

     "Not here you idiots!" Y/N smacks her brother on the back of the head, hard.

     "You little-"

     "Will you guys change in the other room please!!" Ava cries, covering her face from the blush. However, Jake stirs from his spot on the floor.

     "Oh no! Pierce, help me drag him to the front!" Ava directs, pointing to the front door.

     "M-My name," Pierce says wide-eyed.

     "Will you do it please?" Ava pleads. Instantly, Pierce, who's still shirtless but dressed in light robes, runs over to Ava, picks her up bridal style, and heads to the door.

     "Not me!" Ava gasps.

     "I'll do it!" Y/N suggests, dragging Leif by his collar, and the two drag Jake from the kitchen hallway, to outside the apartment door.

     "Great! Now I'll be outside with the door open, you guys, except Y/N, go to the living room and stay there!" Ava, who finally escapes Pierce's grasp, points them in the direction of the open space with the couch, tv, and table, and rushes over to Jake, who is waking up.

     "Why you?" Leif questions.

     "Probably because it would be more 'normal' if a girl is with her, not a guy," Y/N wonders.

     "Ah, hey, you forgot about your horns," Leif points to Y/N's white spikes on her head.

     "I don't know how to make them go away, I never went hunting with you guys so I wasn't taught," Y/N whispers.

     "Here I'll help, it's simple," Leif rolls his eyes playfully. He swipes his hands quickly while whispering an enchantment. He directs Y/N to say it in her head since that's the tactic they used in hunting. Y/N nods and Leif gives her a quick peck on the forehead, before running off to join the other Daemos.

     Y/N watches from outside in the hallway while Ava makes up a lie about hitting Jake with her door.

     "B-But the demons in your room, and I... came in, didn't I?" Jake tries to recall the events, rubbing the side of his head while looking at Y/N, but this time with no horns on her head.

     "I remember that she had horns as well," Jake points toward Y/N and she puts on a surprised face.

     "I guess I just have that effect on people," Y/N jokes, smirking and leaning on the door frame.   

     "While you were down it did seem like you were having a bad dream," Ava suggests, helping Jake up off the floor.

     "N-Nevermind, I'm so sorry Ava, and to your friend," Jake smiles guiltily at the two women, standing up.

     "No I'm sorry, I did hit you with the door huh?" Ava slightly smiles. "At least you're alright though."

     "Yeah... I'm gonna go lay down for a moment. Cya," Jake scratches the back of his head and rubs the side of it while walking away from the apartment toward the elevator.

     Ava waves bye and walks in, closing the door once Y/N is inside, and the two walk over to the living room. Ava lets out a breath of relief, happy to get away with what happened.

     Ava grabs a black object with buttons on it from the kitchen countertop and hands it to Leif once they get to the Daemos.

     "What this?" He questions.

     "It's called a remote, use it to turn the TV on. Learn some manners and watch it to gain more knowledge of the human world," Ava states, before turning around to her bedroom door and closing it.

     The Daemos behind Leif and Y/N talk about Ava while the two stare at the remote in Leif's hands.

     "What do you think it will do?" Y/N whispers.

     "Something about a tee-vee," Leif remembers.

     "Now, let me tell you all about ice cream!" Rhys' eyes glow up while he remembers something that happened between him and Ava.
