Chapter 31

We were all back at school now and tomorrow I had to got to the soccer game how much fun I thought to myself I was drifted off in my thoughts when the old Maths teacher snapped me back into reality "Jess have you got your assignment?" assignment! I thought what assignment! "No sorry sir" I said in a calm tone he them looked down to a piece of paper marking something off but I just sat there in silence listening to the sound of nothing except for the sound of the wind blowing the tree leaves rattling and birds flying high into the tree tops that's when I looked ack into the room to see everyone staring at me I made a face furrowing my eyebrows at them slightly curing my lip

At lunch today we all sat at the table like usual everyone talking music booming from people's stereos my mind blank that's when I heard the annoying voice of Kelly heading towards me "so I hear you joined the soccer team?" She said and I nodded my head "trying it out" I answered not looking for a fight "listen here Miller the soccer team is mine not yours MINE" she said and I held my hands up "oh look it's a call from the department of I don't care" I said holding my hand to my ear making a phone she stormed off and the guys laughed "where did that come from?" Trent laughed "I don't know just though of it" "well it was pretty good" Trent exclaimed and I nodded my head it was petty good I thought to myself and smiled slightly I had to cheer up it was supposed to be a good day but Kelly and Leo seemed to fill her kind the image of Leo and his voice ringing in her mind and ears she couldn't help but think of what she was going to do with her life now

Ladt period we had gym and I was changed into my gym clothes ready for the last hour of school we walked out towards the fields the soccer goals were set up and I knew it was just for me "you ready fur tomorrow?" Me Fitz asked "as ready as I'll ever be I said trying to sound excited about it he handed me a bib and I pulled it on running off onto he field Kelly starring at me dead in the eye anger poised on her face she then kicked off and the attackers ran towards her but she dodged them all them heading for me she went to barge he out of the way but I hooked my leg around her calve muscle and tripped her hoping no one would see I kept running knowing I had gotten away with it I ran forward weaving in and out of all the other girls and boys a few struggling trying to take the ball out of my reach but I didn't allow it I ran forward and the girl that was on the soccer team Veronica was shouting my name waving her arms she had a perfect shot so I booted the ball to her and she kicked it into the goal the white and black ball spinning into the goal hitting the back of the nett cheers of excitement raged from my team

I woke up early that morning ready for the day that had been planned out before me the soccer game was today today was the day I decide if I truly wanted to be apart of the team

We all waited at the school for a bus when it arrived I got on first heading towards a seat at the back plugging in my headphones blocking out all the noise the other people had to offer I was already stressed out about this as it was and I didn't need to be nervous either

The bus ride was long and once we got there I saw a team wearing white shirts with black shirts such style much fashion I thought to myself and we all walked out if the bus I was pulled back by a hand "you can do it jess" mr Fitz said encouraging me along I them ran to catch up with the team

We all ran onto the field my heart pounding in my chest my stomach doing flips my hair tightly tied up into a high pony tail a girl with red hair looked into my eyes and it reminded me if Kelly she ran towards the ball kicking off she booted it to her team player across the field from her and she ran up the sideline fastly her legs working together to dribble the ball towards the goals and she booted it quickly and it hit the nett we had only just started and we were loosing

I now had the ball and u was running in the middle of the field people defending their sera but I got my way around it with the help of my team as I looked ahead if me I saw a brunette coloured hair girl standing as the goalie ready to catch it and save the goal I let my leg fly into the air booting the ball into the vast unknown I then heard the whistle I had scored yes! I thought to myself

We had 15 seconds on the clock and we were losing by 1 we had to get this I'm to make it even, I ran upwards towards the goals the girl also known as Isabelle stood there at the goals ready to shoot I then kicked it to her and a girl and her battled it out shakiest the ball but the other girl stole it from her pacing down the fields she knew they had lost and then the hooter went off
We had lost

"We lost today guys but we will do better next time I heard mr Fitz exclaim and they all nodded and we headed towards the buss "wait jess" he called my name "yeah?" Are you staying for the team?" He asked and I shook my head "no I'm not" I said and turned on my heel heading back towards the buss
