Chapter 11

There I was standing before Lucy's grave

Her headstone said

"You were loved"

I put my hand onto my mouth I kneeled onto my knee and placed a single rose onto the grave it was so elegant and beautiful just like Lucy had once been

I stood up wiping my tears my black dress flowing into the wind it was long and a little showy but I didn't care

"I heard you wanted to make a speech" Rachel said

"Yeah"

I began speaking

"In loving memory of Lucy I lay that flower on her grave for she was one young and beautiful just like that rose she was not only a friend to me but family she was always there for me and i just wanted to let you know that god gained another angel the other night"

I said and went back into my place among the crowd

Next to speak was Jamie

Dear Lucy Smith
To be honest with you I'll always loved you I e never stopped loving you and now that your gone I'm not sure how I can go on with out you you were my sunshine to my rain,you were the hope to my fear,you were the love of my life there are so many more things I could say but I'm only going to say Lucy I love you, and I know you can't say anything back but one day we will be together

There wasn't a dry eye in the graveyard

"Jamie I never knew" I said

He didn't say anything not one thing

"I'm sorry"

"As you said heaven gained another angel the other night Jamie said

I stood back and Jamie laid a single rose in her grave

"Goodbye Lucy"

It had now been a week since Lucy's death and I was going back to school tomorrow even though I was out of my cast school was still going to suck without football

Mum said I could keep playing after a few weeks which I was excited back but I wasn't sure why she let me play again

Me and the guys walked down the halls making out way to our glasses

"It's not the same with Lucy" said Jack

No one spoke

We saw posters if Lucy around the school saying R.I.P Lucy Smith with a picture of her face

We were also having a memorial for Lucy today a minute of silence for her

While we were looking at the poster of Lucy the cheerleading squad barged past us and started looking at the poster giggling

"She wasn't even pretty" said the lead cheerleader Kelly Chang

I frowned at her

"Yeah she was loser she couldn't even play football" said Alex one of the cheerleaders

They all cracked out into laughter

I pulled her shoulder around

"This is utterly rude and offensive to the people who have died"

"Do I care?" Kelly said

"I can't wait until karma comes around and bites you on the ass" I snapped back

They all dashed away there hair bobbing up and down like princess's

"Great job" said Daniel

"There rude" I said

"To rude" said Wes

"Yeah" I said and lead the boys to practice

They all went out to the fields and starting to do shuttle runs up the whole field glad I'm not them I thought

Once there was a time out weasly came over to me and sat down his head hanging low

I put my arm around him and slightly hugged him he wrapped his arms around my waist and smiled

"I love you"

I didn't say anything I just sat there in our silence enjoying our moment

I hope this chapter is good but it's only short sorry

I thought is add a cheerleading squad into it there's going to be some rivalry between the two
