It was Saturday and I invited the guys over to my house to talk about everything that's going on
I sat on my bed staring up at the ceiling waiting for them to get here, a few minutes later Jamie and Trent walk down the stairs to my room
"Hey" Jamie called
"Hey" I said smiling sitting up and watched them walk down
"So when are the others getting here?"
"Soon" they said and right as they said it the guys came down
I heard a large amount of talking and shouting I think I even heard one of them talking about Rachel and sure enough they were
"Where's Rachel?" Jack said
"She's not here she's at a friends" Jack sighed and shrugged his shoulders
"What's with you and her anyway"
"Oh nothing" he said grinning like an idiot
"He thinks he has a chance" Jamie said
"Jamie!" He paused "shut up"
I laughed
"You and Rachel c'mon you know she has a boyfriend?"
"Wait are you serious?" He said looking disappointed
"No I'm just kidding" I started to laugh at his reaction
"Good" he said and chuckled
"So were here to talk about everything that's been going on and our upcoming events" I explained
"Get on with it" Natt said
"Alright, so first off we have this bet with Kelly and I need to come up with a routine you guys have to vote for me" I grinned "and we have districts coming up in about a month"
Cheering came for the guys
"That's what I want to talk to you guys about"
I said lowering my was slightly sighing swaying my shoulders
"Now that Lucy's gone" I choked on my words "we have to get another player in that amount of time"
"Oh lord that's gonna be hard"
Weasly said
"I know" I sighed and I feel an arm wrap around my shoulder knowing it was Weasly I laid my head on his shoulder feeling better with him
"This is cute but can we focus on districts" I chuckled and nodded
"So new player were are we gonna get one"
"Um" I hesitated "we could ask around?"
"No that will take to long" Trent said
"Yeah I guess"
"Wait about a tryout?" Trent said
"Perfect! when will we have tryouts?"
"Next week" Trent said
"Alright that's that"

It's now wensday the day of the try outs
I sat down on the bench with the coach he was holding a clip board with a pen and I slightly looked over seeing a list of names
Then I saw a line of boys lining up on the side side line
"So your all here to try out for a spot on the team correct?"
They all nodded
"Here's how it's gonna work the best 5 players will be chosen by me then the football captain Jessica Miller will choose the best player for the job, now everyone run a lap for a warm up" and then they were off
Once they had all gotten back we spilt them into two teams no subs but that didn't matter
I was watching the players carefully one standing out to me a lot I pointed to number 14
"Him" I said "what's his name"
The coach rolled his finger down to number 14
"Ben Morgan"
I slightly smirked
"He should be one of the top 5" I said and looked over at him
"I get to choose not you Miller"
"Sorry"
I looked back over at the players and saw how amazing they all how
But Ben stood out to me the most
The coach started to tick off names but I was too slow to see and he stood up blowing his whistle all the players running over to us
"I have made my decision"

The next day we sat at our usual table with all the boys then seeing the other 5 that had been chosen I waved them over
"Make room boys these are our top finalist for the team"
"Do we have to" Jamie complained
"Yes now move"
They all moved over and I started introducing them
"This is Ben,Ryan,Charlie,Elliot and Liam
"Hey" the boys said slumping around
"C'mon cheer up" I said nudging Wesley
He smiled and pecked me on the cheek
I smiled and saw Natt giving us a disgusting look
I rolled my eyes and looked over at the other boys
"So guys since I get to choose the player tell me about yourselves"
"Wait you get to choose?" Jack said
"Yes I do"
"Alrightly then
Charlie started
"I've been playing since I was 11 years old and intend to go to state championship some day"
"Yeah we all do" Wesley said
i smiled and they all started to talk about themselves and everything else
