chapter 38

It was mid day and tonight was the night of the homecoming and surprisingly I was kind of excited about it

I mean it's almost the end of the year and that was what I was looking forward to

 Teresa had agreed to helping me get ready for tonight and I decided to text her asking if she wanted to hang out before it started

"Hey wanna hang out at mine?" I texted her and waited for a reply

She soon texted back saying she will be there soon and I smiled

Rachel walked into my room with a big grin on her face seeing the dress hanging up

"So you are going?" she said and sat on my bed

"Yes I am" I replied and let out a huff "can I help you get ready?"she asked with curiosity in her voice

"Teresa is coming over soon to help" I said and I saw her face drop with disappointment and I smiled at her and pushed her shoulder gently

"I'm just kidding of course you can"

"You had me for a minute" Rachel said chuckling

I stood up and looked down at her "your the one with all the make up and hair stuff remember? Of course I need your help"

There was knocking on the door and I opened it seeing my cheery friend Teresa standing there

"Hey" she said and I stepped back letting her walk in

"Thank god your here" Rachel paused for a second "Jess has no idea what she's doing when it comes to dressing up"

I glanced at her and Teresa laughed "I'm glad to be of assistance" Teresa said

"Your mum here?" Teresa asked

"Nope she's gonna be out like all night, work things or something" I answered and she nodded her head smirking a little

"You should throw an after party" Teresa let out and looked over at Rachel

"That sounds like fun!" Rachel said excited

"Mum would not be happy about that and I don't like parties" I said and sat up on the kitchen bench

"She doesn't have to know about it, and you'll be throwing the party so it won't be that bad" Teresa explained

"I'll have to think about" I said and took an apple from the fruit bowl sitting on the bench and started eating it "awesome" she replied smiling

"Tonight's gonna be fun" Teresa stated

"Eh I hope so" I said shrugging my shoulders "it will be" she said and tucked her brunette hair behind her ear

Teresa walked over to me and handed me a small bottle of light rosy pink coloured nail polish "to match the dress" she said

I held it on my hands and Rachel walked over "I'm going to do your nails" she said and took the nail polish and I held my hand out so she could start

We sat there painting my nails while Teresa started going through Makeup and picking a few things out and placing them down

I sat for a few more minutes and Rachel put the lid in the nail polish "all done" she said and I looked down at the new smoothly done nails "looks good" I said giving her a smile "when they dry put on your dress so I can do your hair and makeup" Teresa explained to me and I nodded my head "sounds good"

My nails soon dried and I looked at my dress and walked over to it and took it off the clothes hanger it was hanging from and   walked into my my little walk in wardrobe and slipped into it and looked down upon it and smiled happy that she choose this dress to wear tonight
