It's the Monday after winter break which means back to school. Although you're totally dreading it, you're excited because your gender reveal is on Saturday. You walk up to Casey who looks really into a conversation over text. You tap her shoulder and she jumps a little.
Casey: Holy shit you can't scare me like that
You: Sorry...what are you doing?
Casey: Just organizing some final details for your gender reveal
You: I'm sooo excited, let me know when you want me to start planning your
Casey: Yeah of course
You: Well I think i'm gonna to study, I have english test and i'm so not ready, i'll see you at lunch though
You give her a hug and make your way to the library
*LUNCH TIME*
Before lunch you go use the bathroom. While you're washing your hands you hear a familiar voice behind you.
Taty: Hey Y/N
You roll your eyes then turn around
You: Hey
Taty: How are you
You shake the excess water off your hands and force a smile
You: I'm good, how about you
Taty: I'm great...congratulations on the baby by the way
You grab paper towels out the dispenser
You: Oh thank you
Taty: You're welcome
You sense she wants to say more so you awkwardly stand there
Taty: So...how are things with you and Sora
You: Great
Taty: That's good, i'm glad
You: Do you wanna maybe come to our gender reveal this weekend?
Taty: Yeah sure
You: It's Saturday at 1, Sora's house
She nods her head slightly, you begin to make your way out the door.
Taty: Yeah I figured
You: You figured?
Taty: Yeah I mean don't you guys like live together??
You: Yeah...?
Taty: And you guys are like pretty attached and stuff..
You: Why are you trying to make small talk about my relationship? I don't know what the fuck your problem is but maybe you should mind your own business. And by the way our relationship isn't toxic, so don't go around trying to convince my boyfriend that it is, maybe you fantasize about being with him but guess what? i actually live it. so do yourself a favor and keep your mouth out our relationship.
She goes silent and you give her a fake smile.
You: And see you Saturday
You walk around her to the door and let yourself out the bathroom. You go into the cafeteria and look for Sora. He's at his usual table with his friends. You tap him on the shoulder.
You: Can we talk?
Sora: Yeah what's up?
You: Outside
He gives you a confused look but stands up anyway. He follows you outside.
You: Tell your fucking friend to like stay the hell out of our relationship
Sora: What are you talking about?
You: She keeps saying like we're toxic and attached and that's not true, and by the way i invited her to the gender reveal because i know you want her there anyways
Sora: Yeah i want her there...she's my friend and why are we even fighting about this anyways...you promised me we wouldn't fight about stupid shit anymore
You: Yeah whatever, i'll see you later
You let yourself back into the cafeteria and take a seat with Casey.
*WEDNESDAY*
Sora has practice today so you're home alone with his parents. You spend most of the time in his room doing homework and watching TV. Even though they're going to be the grandparents of your child, you find it hard to bond with them. You quietly try to sneak downstairs for a snack however Sora's mom hears you. She looks up from the magazine she's flipping through and smiles.
Sora's Mom: Hey sweetheart
You: Hi
Sora's Mom: You okay?
You: Yeah just getting some water
You grab yourself a glass and put some water into it
Sora's Mom: Come sit for a second
You smile but on the inside you're annoyed. You take a seat beside her on the couch
Sora's Mom: So how has the baby been?
You: Good, healthy
Sora's Mom: You excited for the gender reveal?
You: Yeah I am, super excited
You're relieved when you hear the front door opening, letting you know that Sora is home. His mom smiles and rubs your knee.
Sora's Mom: Just let me know if you ever need help with anything
You smile and nod your head and she excuses herself from the couch to greet Sora. A while later you guys all sit down at the table for dinner. You guys are talking a little when the sound of keys jiggling in the door disrupts you all. Everyone looks equally confused. The door opens and 3 people walk in.
Egypt: The favorite child has returned!!
He closes the door behind him.
Sora's Mom: Egypt!!
She gets up from the table and greets him, as well as Sora's dad. You give Sora a confused look
Sora: My brother, his wife Ashley, and their daughter Harmony and I didn't know they were coming
You: I didn't know you had a brother
Sora shrugs a little. Egypt then looks over at him.
Egypt: So you just aren't gonna say hi?
Sora rolls his eyes and smiles then waves to Ashley.
Sora: Hey Harmony!!
He gives her a hug and she smiles
Sora: You look so adorable
Harmony: Thank youuu
Sora then looks at Egypt.
Sora: Why are you here anyways?
Egypt: You thought I'd miss my brothers gender reveal??
Egypt then turns his attention to you.
Egypt: So you must be Y/N, who i've heard so much about, congratulations on the baby
He holds his hand out to you and you shake his hand.
You: Thank you!!
Egypt: This is my wife Ashley and my daughter Harmony
You smile and wave to Ashley then give Harmony and small wave and a smile.
You: I'm Y/N
Harmony looks up at Ashley.
Harmony: I have to use the bathroom
Ashley: Okay okay
She asks Egypt to point her to the bathroom and she follows him. While they're gone Sora speaks up.
Sora: Why didn't you tell me you invited him
Sora's Mom: It was kinda a surprise
Sora: Yeah well I kinda didn't want him there
Sora's Mom: Why not??
Sora: Because he's so fucking perfect, like the golden child
Sora's Mom: Language...and I love you both the same, besides it's nice to have your brother there
Sora rolls his eyes
You: Babe it's okay, your mom is right, having your brother there will be nice
You smile a little and stroke in between his legs under the table. He sharply inhales, trying not to make it obvious. Just then Egypt, Ashley, and Harmony return from the bathroom.
Egypt: So what are we having for dinner??
He pulls out two seats for Ashley and Harmony then sits down himself.
p.s.- you already know who's idea this was 💀💀 but the gender reveal will be next part because this part came out longer than i expected 😭
