Mackenzie moves over the bed, having a pressure in the chest. She hears the screams of agony of the people that went to the room with the Volturi. She starts shaking her head, stil moving.

-No... no. - Mack feels a pressure in the chest along with feeling how the oxygen starts going away. - No!

The girl opens her eyes in a second and pushes Edward's hand away while tried to caress her cheek. She looks confusedly at the hand she's holding until looking up, finding Edward's golden eyes that look at her worriedly.

-It's okay, it was just a nightmare. - The boy whispers, caressing Mackenzie's cheek.

-I-It seemed so real. I-I tried to help them but the Volturi... - Mack closes her eyes strongly by rememebering her nightmare.

-You can sleep. I'll still be here when you wake up. - Mackenzie nods slowly but doesn't close her eyes given that she fears she'll dream the same thing.

-When Alice told me you were my blood singer, I thought about how you were going to react. I feared you wouldn't accept me the way I am so I decided to stay away. I knew something had happened to you and felt guilty for not being able to protect you. - Mack takes Edward's hand that caresses her cheek. - I thought I would never meet you, I would never see you... That I'd never feel your warmth or your lips.

The girl feels a pinch in the chest and sits on the bed to hug him who returned the hug.

-It was only an accident. I'm alright. - She assures in a whisper.

-Thinking about losing you was the most hurtful thing I've felt in a hundred years. I swear I'll protect you from everything, love of mine. - Mackenzie closes her eyes for a moment with a tiny smile on her face by hearing the cure nickname that Edward gave her.

The human pulls away from him at the same time as he hears how someone approaches the bedroom.

-Charlie's coming. - Mack frowns, confused and, in less than a second, Edward isn't in front of her anymore.

-Mack? - Charlie enters the room, realising the girl's sitting on her bed, looking at him. - You okay?

Mackenzie nods, giving her father half a smile.

-Yeah, it was just a nightmare. - She admits.

-I can see your sister gave you the nightmare thing because she's deeply asleep. - The girl grimaces before nodding.

-Well, that makes me feel better and little more calm. - The brown haired girl admits.

Charlie approaches her and sits by her side.

-Come on, I know you want to tell me something. - Mackenzie encourages, taking her father's hand.

-I know you aren't the same as your sister, Mack. I know you can take care of yourself, you're independant. But I felt I'm not doing my job of being a father so well since you left with your sister for three days.
